I went to Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop in Liberty, MO back in late June 2022 because I have read interesting things about the place, especially when and why Capriotti’s originally started. I am impressed that the founders of Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop had the passion for creating a unique and extraordinary experience with different types of sandwiches found in the United States. I wanted to try Capriotti’s because of their uncommon, but creative sandwich recipes. Ever since Capriotti’s Sandwich Chop was founded in 1976, the whole roast turkeys, quality meats & cheeses, and fresh bread rolls and produce continue to impress the patrons of Capriotti’s and earn awards across the United States of America.
The menu at Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop has its unique sandwich recipes with different styles and flavors of sandwiches. The sandwiches at Capriotti’s may sound uncommon and a little unusual, but they are creative using many different ingredients. There is a sandwich at Capriotti’s called “The Bobbie”, which consists of slow-roasted turkey topped with cranberry sauce, handmade stuffing and mayo. The Bobbie is “Award Winning” and “The Greatest Sandwich in America”. When you eat the Bobbie sandwich, it’s like the customer can celebrate Thanksgiving Day anytime of the year. There is also a sandwich called the “Capastrami”, which is not an average pastrami sandwich but an original creation from Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop. The Capastrami sandwich is the “Best Seller” sandwich from Capriotti’s, which consists of hot pastrami, melty Swiss cheese, crunchy coleslaw (made of purple and green cabbages with carrots), and Russian dressing. However, the sandwich I ordered from Capriotti’s in late June 2022 was their BBQ Chicken Cheesesteak, and I would like to say that it tasted delicious.
The service at Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop was fast and quick. In my personal opinion, the name. “Capriotti’s” sounds almost like an Italian surname. The concept of Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop was like a Jersey Mike’s restaurant and Subway restaurant mixed together. If a person is looking for a sandwich shop, that serves almost every type of sandwich in the United States that you can think of, I would say that Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop would be the place to visit for customers to try their unique creations of of new and modern...
Read moreTried to order Wagyu cheesesteak and Wagyu Sandwich. Guy at the register says they’re out of wagyu. He said “we we have some but it takes forever to cut”. That was the first warning sign.
I ordered a medium cheesesteak and a medium grilled Italian sandwich. Theres maybe 2 people in front of me waiting on their food. Twenty minutes go by. Guy at the register calls my name because my food is done. I walk up to counter. Stand there for another minute and I am handed my food.
I go to my truck and drive off. I get down the road and thought, I better check my order. Sure enough I get a regular Italian Sandwich and even worse, my cheesesteak is a small and not the medium I ordered. I turn around, as I’m walking into the restaurant, the guy who helped me at the counter said “He’s back” he said to me “sorry, we gave you a small. There was a mix up.” He tried to take the small sandwich back and apologized. I sat and waited another 6 minutes for a new cheesesteak to be made. Overall, it took nearly an hour for me to go down the road get two sandwiches well after lunch rush. Finally got home, tried the sandwiches.
The cheesesteak was chewy and bland. The Italian sandwich barely had any meat or veggies on it. All of the spicy peppers fell off the sandwich.
Overall a terrible experience. Good luck! You’re going to need it if you don’t change...
Read moreMy family and I absolutely love Capriotti’s! The food is delicious and the customer service is AMAZING. There’s a very kind women who works there named Holly and I wanted to take a second to show her some recognition. My first trip in she was very kind and checked on us to see how we were enjoying our food. Then today I placed a delivery order through the app for the first time and one of the sandwiches wasn’t included, I called up there and she answered. I had recognized her voice but couldn’t remember her name and after our phone call I had to call back up there to get it so I could leave this review. Holly handled the situation so professionally and kindly, definitely made a not so pleasant experience pleasant. She wrote my name and number down and told me next time in they would take care of it. That is exactly how that should be handled, unfortunately, I haven’t had the same luck with other food places in the area. Accidents/mix ups happen, any decent human being can be understanding of that but it’s how people handle them that counts and Holly at Capriotti’s handled it perfectly! We will continue to eat at Capriotti’s as well as highly...
