On May 3 we visited the Liberty store for ice cream. There was a single employee working the whole place. There were two customers ahead of us, and it took about 30 minutes to get our ice cream. Both of our ice cream orders were wrong, but we ate them anyway, since we waited so long already. The kid was new and did his best. After we finished our ice cream we picked out some Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory items to take home. The young man working the counter rang up our candy and it came out much higher than expected. I have been a Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory customer for many years, and visited stores all across the country. I have always been charged by the pound, but when I checked the charges, we had been charged by the piece. The truffles, specifically, were charged at $5.50 each. I asked the young man to cancel the sale or give us a refund, and he said he had not been trained on how to do that. I asked him to see if he could contact the manager, which he tried. When she did not answer he gave me her name, Julie, and number. I called and left a message and when she returned my call she said the charges were correct and refused to refund my money. I called two other Kansas City stores and asked their price for the truffles we chose. They charge $1.25 each at one store, and $1.35 at the other. When I again spoke with Julie she said that didn't matter, as they set their own prices. I have requested to speak to a higher level of management several more times in the past eight weeks, but was still denied any resolution. If you need a sweet fix, drive a couple miles down the road where you can get almost five truffles for the price of a single one in Liberty, and the service is...
Read moreThe ice cream is just fine, my issue is with ordering online from this store. Why does Coldstone even offer an online ordering system with delivery as an option if deliveries just don't go through half the time and they won't offer any recourse when your order is unexpectedly cancelled? This is the 3rd time (at least) that this has happened, where the order was confirmed and then inexplicably cancelled almost an hour later, and the only thing it tells you is to call the store - then the store knows literally nothing and can't help you at all. No way to get refunds without contacting corporate and going through a 48 hrs to 1 week process to deal with it. They need to stop offering deliveries at all if they can't handle it. I've had to just drive to the store to pick it up myself and then HOPE corporate gets back to me and actually refunds my delivery fee + driver tip. I've gone without receiving any refund for an entire order that was never received before. It's not okay and I'm getting pretty fed up with it, even if it's not the store or the store...
Read moreWe love Cold Stone and have gone often for over 10 years now. Tonight was by far the worst experience we've ever had at a Cold Stone and I doubt we will ever be back. We are recovering from a house fire and decided to go out and treat ourselves. The young girl working tonight 7/31 had a nasty attitude the second we walked in. We ordered 3 ice creams all with cookie dough. She said "why do you have to make my job harder." Ummm what? She didn't even mix the cookie dough in at all just plopped it on top. My husband's she didn't even put his in just left it on the table and then only filled his gotta have it halfway. She literally huffed sighed and stomped around because we asked her to do her job? We have ordered this exact order dozens of times with never an issue. Don't worry you will never be getting our...
