Smoothie King — Restaurant in Kansas City

I love smoothie king. I truly do. I come to this location often and I always get a banana boat. But this location is severely understaffed and mismanaged. I waited at least 30 minutes today for my smoothie. Other cars were just leaving the drive thru line without their order because of the wait. I paid for a 32oz chocolate banana boat. I was presented with a 20oz one (again after at least 30 minutes of waiting) I told the girl that this was wrong and I paid for a 32oz. After waiting even more, she gave me the 32oz. I paid for extra frozen yogurt but it was a super thin, soupy consistency so I am sure she didn’t add extra frozen yogurt. I can’t even blame the workers.. this is on the managers. Who thinks to leave three 15 year old kids to run the store by themselves on a busy Saturday? Whoever does that should not be the manager of anything. Their register broke in the middle of my transaction and one of their blender lids broke in the middle of making a smoothie and made a mess. None of the workers knew what was going on, what was paid for, who was still waiting etc and were literally running in circles the entire time. The two gentleman behind me got their drinks before me and they accidentally made the lady in front of me her drink twice. Just a mess. This location needs...

SLOWEST. LOCATION. EVER. We sat in line behind 3 cars for 25 minutes before we even got to the window. The cars in front of us were sitting at the window for well over 5 minutes waiting for their ONE smoothie after they had paid. Once we were at the window, the guy had no clue what we had even ordered. Needless to say, after waiting nearly 30 minutes already, we didn't have the time to wait another 5-10+ minutes for 2 smoothies so we wasted almost half an hour, were late to where we needed to be and didn't even get a smoothie. I never would have thought that it would have taken that long! I've had long waits at this location before, but this was by far the longest. We will go to the location off Barry Rd from now on. They are much faster, more efficient and friendlier and overall seem to have it together a lot more than this location. Also, once you are in line you are stuck and can't get out, so that makes the slow service and long wait times even more...

We love the smoothies. However, the staff is reckless when it comes to food allergies. The past two times I’ve went there, I’ve ordered a smoothie without milk. Just last week I ordered a peanut power plus, minus the milk. About half way through I got sick. I looked at the receipt and she actually added milk to it instead taking it out. I went back just today and ordered two peanut power plus (one for my husband). I again ordered one with out milk. They didn’t Mark either one of them so I couldn’t tell which one had milk and which one did not. I asked and the girl who mixed it pointed out which one had milk and which one did not. Well-she was wrong. And now I’m sick again. I can’t risk coming back but this establishment needs to do much better with food allergies. You’re making people sick. And, when someone orders two of the same drink, same size, but makes modifications, why wouldn’t you mark the drinks so people know which...
