UPDATE #2: This Cracker Barrel continues to disappoint. Really good food. Really terrible service! Where did our waitress disappear to? Went early to eat breakfast recently. 3 tables occupied in our section. Took a while for the waitress to come to our table, so we ordered both our drinks and breakfast together. She said she would have the drinks right out. Drinks came out with the food which came in a reasonable time. When she brought out the food, she said she would bring out straws and napkins right out. Finally got them several minutes later. Never saw our waitress again!! She never came back to see if everything was okay. She never came back to give us our check. We had to ask another waitress for our check and the 2nd waitress came back with it. The other two tables? One walked out because the waitress never came to take their order. The other table had to ask for their check too after a long wait. Where's our waitress? Where's the manager? What's going on? I cannot recommend.
UPDATE: Not as satisfied with this restaurant since the virus. Portion size has gotten significantly smaller as price has went up!! Nowhere near the value for the money that it used to be!! Disappointed!!
My wife and I visited our local Cracker Barrel yesterday for lunch. We were unsure whether we wanted breakfast or lunch, so Cracker Barrel was a good choice because they offer all day breakfast!! I decided on the Friday fried fish special with French fries and pinto beans (choice of two sides!). The fish looked to be hand breaded and cooked fresh!! The fish and tartar sauce were both very tasty. The two sides were both good too. The fries were hot when they arrived at the table and the beans were tasty with a lot of shredded ham added for flavor. The fish also came with a biscuit and a corn muffin. My wife ordered the stack of pancakes because she loves their maple syrup. Both meals were large portions and very reasonably priced!! You can always expect good quality food for a fair price (AND ALL DAY BREAKFAST!!) at the Liberty/ Kansas City...
Read moreWe recently went to CB for our Sunday family meal. We decided to try this location again. I will not be eating at CB in Liberty. An exciting day with the family turned into a very disappointing family outing. We were notified the kitchen was short staffed, which was fine, we were very patient and understanding. We ordered food, my son ordered a chicken fried chicken meal, they brought him a chicken fried steak. I ordered a grilled chicken blt with mayo. I was brought a rubbery grilled chicken (was it microwaved?) sandwich with no bacon and a clear brown sweet sauce drenched all over the chicken. I asked the waitress what all was included on the sandwhich and she tried to convince me it was a chipotle mayo sauce. I told her I wanted plain mayo and the sauce was definitely not chipotle mayo. She ended up bringing me out bacon strips and plain mayo. I ended up patting off the remaining sauce off my sandwhich with napkins. My husband requested steak sauce for his burger, which clearly the waitress forgot about us. I left with a $75 dollar bill! Horrible experience, very disappointing. A fun day of making memories, we had fun until we left CB with a bad taste and horrible memory. We will not be returning.
4 years ago: Service wasn't great. 1 table and we waited almost 15 minutes to be seated. Server got our drinks, took our order and didn't check up on us until she handed us our check. By that time she only had three tables. One other table was patiently waiting to request salt and pepper, she obviously wasn't coming back and he asked another diner if he could use his. Yes not attentive at all. Won't spend money at that location...
Read moreI tried to place an order online around 7:45pm and the order didn't go through
I assumed it was an app issue and drove to the store instead
When I arrived about 8pm a sign on the door read "cash only" Something about service issues
I ordered the chicken fried chicken with 3 sides
The mashed potatoes were almost cold and the gravy was just warm enough to make them edible.
The other two sides were fine (fried okra and fried apples)
Chicken was about the size of two sandwiches and the price was on point for the serving sizes. (Small price small portions IMHO)
The waitress was nice, but she forgot my extra gravy I asked for when ordering
I didn't feel like reminding her after I had already reminded her I ordered the chicken for the $6 to go meal add on; because she accidentally brought me meatloaf.
The pie slice was very small, but delicious.
From this experience I would say I wouldn't return, but I feel like if I hadn't shown up so close to closing time, maybe I would have had an excellent experience.
I'll try again and judge it during better hours.
Edit: lowered from 3 stars to 2 stars because customer service replied to my review with a link to a bot that led to to a real person that "could not understand my issue" I was asked to visit the chat, and I did..I explained that...they were lost and...
