Got a triple burger and fries, and a brownie concrete. Burger patties were very dry, fries were great, the concrete wasn't made correctly. (should've had a "wet cement" sign. Hehehehehe)
I went inside to order carry out. The employee at the register was rude & pretty much incompetent. She was wearing a mask, but it wasn't on her face, it was just hanging around her neck. Although I was the only customer, she was extremely anxious for me to order. I was standing back from the counter to read the menu board, and she said "come up here and order" (as though I didn't know how to order fast food!) Anyway, as I approached the counter, I asked her to please put on her mask... She did so with a huge sigh, as though it was a major big deal. The other employee I dealt with (the manager?) was at the pickup counter. She was very friendly & attentive. I had to go back to the other counter/employee to get my concrete. She hadn't even started on it, and when she saw me, she rather brusquely asked "did you forget something?". I reminded her about the concrete I'd ordered (fudge brownie, extra fudge sauce, no whipped cream). I thought to myself that she was making it very quickly. I was impressed. Until I got home and found out that it was barely missed! The "brownie" was sitting whole in one glob at the bottom of the cup, there was fudge in large parts stick to the side of the cup & the concrete itself was a very pale tan color instead of the dark chocolate that I've disgustingly come to crave about once a month.
Oh, and she put whipped...
Read moreFirst off I want to say we have been patrons of this establishment for some time. Our grandsons love the kids meals and they are very good portions for kid's meals at a great price.
My major disappointment is in the drive up ice cream products, or the employee training. If I could tell Freddy I would say "Brother they are not doing you proud!" My family ordered Concretes from a new store in Lafayette, Indiana on my recommendation and they were not happy nor was I. So last night I went to the Freddy's on N Oak (KCMO) and ordered a Brownie Fudge Delight Concrete and it had plenty of fudge in fact a 2" X 2" hunk and a piece with paper attached on the bottom which I almost swallowed! Also by the time I got to the window it had began thawing terribly! (FYI DQ flash freezes their blizzards until you come to the window.)
There is a breakdown of customer service and willingness to do a good job in America and now it has hit Freddy's! You have not lost my patronage but I hope someone will take the time to look into this issue.
EDIT 1/16/23. So my wife and I tried the drive up once again on N Oak in KCMO near Sam’s Club. Well same story slow backed up drive through my wife ordered a Sundae and I ordered a Concrete. They made two concretes we took them since it took over 15 mins to get our order. And as usual they were made and set on the counter basically thawing. I’M DONE WITH...
Read moreI think they have great food. The only complaint I have about them is their fries. They taste great, but they are a little too crunchy for me. They are a thinner cut fry than even shoestring fries so I'm sure it would be hard not to make them anything other than crunchy. Maybe dip them in the oil and pull them out after 30 seconds and they may just be perfect for me. I love their burgers, chili dogs , and love they're French fry sauce! I highly recommend them to everyone. At least give them a try. I am sure that 99% of the ones that try them will love the food. Like I said the fries are only a little too crunchy for me but still love the taste. The kids seem to really like eating their fries...gotta admit the cut of the fries are very unique. I haven't seen any fries like these ANYWHERE. I also recommend having a dessert. I had the chocolate brownie sundae...it was delicious. I got the mini size and it was perfect. I ordered the double cheeseburger with fries and drink plus the mini sundae and was full but not miserable lol. The price of my combo meal...
