I was so excited to see a pizza place open up in our neighborhood. We usually have to drive out pretty far for a decent slice that isn’t from a chain.

We’ve ordered twice from NE Pizza now. The first time, I grabbed a whole cheese pizza for the kids and we took it to a park. It fed five of us easy. (Note: two of the five people were under age 5, and those two only ate 1/2 to 1 slice each. One pizza could otherwise comfortably feed about 3-4 adults.)

I normally hate red sauces, I always get white sauce on my pizzas, but I love their red sauce so much, probably better than the garlic pizza we got for dine-in on another occasion. That is not to say their white pizza was bad because it’s not. I just preferred the classic cheese.

The white pizza was chewy and flavorful. They have lemon in there which gives it a light, refreshing citrus twist. The flavors worked. They gave us extra lemon slices to squeeze over the pizza, too.

We recently had similarly cooked pizza at a food truck (by a business unrelated to NE Pizza), and what I appreciate about NE Pizza in comparison to them is that Northeast takes the time to sweep out their ovens between baking pies so you don’t get burnt cornmeal stuck to the bottom of your food. The other establishment didn’t do that, putting Northeast ahead of their similar competitors in terms of quality and taste.

TIPS FOR ORDERING: order ahead, especially if you want your food to go. There was a half hour wait for our white pizza when we dined in, and they were busting out pizzas as fast as they could. These are made FRESH to order. Like they’re tossing handmade dough and slapping on the fixings right there at the counter, and there is only so much oven space.

Therefore, if you do not want to wait in the restaurant, order at least 30 minutes ahead of the time you want to pick it up, longer on weekends and during sporting events (I’m looking at you, football season).

I cannot wait to come back. I want to try the pepperoni next. The salads also looks really,...

All the good reviews about this place are not wrong. I had no idea this place even opened and I live just a three-minute walk away. I was enjoying the day, taking my dog for a walk when I noticed it. I asked them what kind of pizza and when they said NY Style I about fell over. NY Style is my favorite style. So this evening I ordered a pie online and walked over to pick it up.

This pizza is damn good. Possibly the best NY Style pizza I have had in the KC metro yet. The atmosphere of the place is cozy but still very fresh. You can tell they are still working on things in the building, but as far as the kitchen and food go, they knew right where to start as it is amazing. I can tell, this place will be a very regular stop for...

This is the pizza I was dreaming of when I moved to KC in 2017 and couldn't find anywhere. It was dire back then. Be bought a pizza oven for our apartment patio and started making dough every week and perfecting our own Neapolitan and small New York styles just to get a pie with a decent crust. A lot of places have opened since then that have given us some options for dining out, but this is what I've actually been searching for this whole time.

Flavorful crust with a crisp bottom and decent chew, fresh toppings with balance and not a cheese casserole on top making everything soggy, and served piping hot. The fact that we can bike or walk here makes it...

I grew up in the Northeast KC area, so coming back was definitely nostalgic—especially when I stumbled upon this hidden gem, Northeast Pizza!🍕Known for their authentic New York–style slices, the shop gives off serious ‘90s vibes✨ I only wish a place like this had been around during my childhood!😩 what we got: 🍕 slice of pepperoni pizza 🧀 slice of cheese pizza 🤩 build your own pie 📍 2203 Lexington Ave, Kansas City, MO 64124 #northeastpizza #kansascity #kansascitymo #kcfoodie #kcfood #kcpizza #kcfood #kansascityfood #kansascityfoodie #kcfoodiefinds #pizza #pizzalover #fyp #foryou #foryourpage #foryoupage
