Pho Bowl — Restaurant in Kansas City

Okay so, I'm a pho-natic supreme... I was introduced to pho in Denver 20yrs ago and it's been a part of my regular diet ever since. I just moved here from LA... now LA is a place widely known for having everything you could ever want, and it does. So obv Pho is readily available and I kid you not, I tried no less than 75 different places before deciding on what I figured to be the perfect bowl; best in LA blew Denver out of the broth. In KC I've tried 8 places, two of them were better than that coveted LA spot. But Pho Bowl? Pho Bowl slaps so hard it's in a wholly different league. The best in KC, hands down. AND better than anything LA or Denver has to offer, HANDS DOWN. I've made a bunch of Pho myself so really got into what makes it good, Pho Bowl is the perfect blend of all that, plus some mystery good that isn't available to the common man. We came to Pho Bowl, haven't been here much since the ownership change years ago.. the menu is super limited, and didn't have items others reviewed just months or weeks ago. We got beef pho, I ordered mine without cilantro, and said that 3 times. It came with cilantro, I tried masking the flavor, and when I asked for a new bowl, was told they would just take the cilantro from my bowl and I couldn't get a new bowl since I had to ask when ordering. I reminded them I did, was called a liar, but finally I was given a new bowl. It was ok, definitely not the same as before, but it was ok.
