Awful, awful experience. My girlfriend and I swung by for lunch and ended up waiting 30 minutes for our food. Place wasn't busy at all (Saturday (5/14) around noon).

The young woman in the window was rude, short, and totally inconsiderate of our wait. The pandemic has made things abundantly clear, which is why I'm extra extra patient with people working in the service industry.

However, 30 minutes for an order of two identical bowls is obnoxious. Just the bowls, nothing else.

We were the only car in the drive-thru for ~25 minutes and it wasn't until there was a queue of 3 cars behind us that we saw our food. Strange.

She also managed to fulfill a walk-up order well before we ever saw our food, and they walked up after we had been waiting ~15 minutes.

After it was all said and done, our order wasn't even correct - we ordered chicken and received lamb and baklava.

Also never received a receipt, so I had to check our CC statement to see how much we were actually charged. The experience was legit bad enough that I expected a much higher charge, honestly.

Pretty bummed because I've always liked this place. I've eaten here for years because I love the bit of diversity that they bring to a strip overrun with unhealthy fast-food. After this experience, not super interested...

This place used to be one of my top favorites when they first opened because they had the closest taste to authentic Saudi food in KC.

However, their quality and portion sizes have been declining. The kebabs, in particular, have become much smaller for the price. Lately, whenever I order a kebab sandwich/roll, I only get half a kebab, barely 4 inches long, which is disappointing.

They really need to hire staff who can speak English or at least have multiple employees working at the same time. I’ve had too many frustrating experiences where the person taking my order didn’t speak English, and it took me 25-30 minutes just to make them understand and correct my order. This is unacceptable for customer service and something they need to seriously address.

Lastly, I’ve peeked behind the kitchen window a few times, and the hygiene level was concerning. Since the person at the counter didn’t understand English, I had to physically walk in and point to the menu to place my order. That’s when I noticed the kitchen looked very messy and unhygienic. Please don’t compromise on cleanliness and food quality your food used to...

I stopped by the drive through on the way home from work. The voice that greeted me was pleasant and friendly. When I pulled up to pay, it turned out it was the owner! She is delightful. I ordered the Beef Kabob wrap, lentil soup, and pita and hummus.

The Beef Kabob wrap was absolutely phenomenal! She was mixing the spices as it was being made and they were fresh. The meat was tender the perfect amount of savory.

The Lentil Soup was quite tasty and I especially enjoyed the toasted pita that comes with it- it’s a great combination. The flavor was not overpowering and it was simmered to perfection.

The Pita and Hummus. I enjoyed it. The amount of hummus was a generous portion.

I would recommend stopping by and trying the food. More importantly supporting a good business whose owner puts her heart and focus on making quality food with love. I can tell she loves the work she does and I especially appreciate the personable experience had.

I’m gonna return! I can’t wait to try the Baklava next time!

Thank you, Abir, for a...

I came by for some lunch because it's located very close to my workplace, and was pretty happy with the food I ordered. I ordered the #1 Shawarma and a #7 Shish Tawook meal. The service was good and not quite as slow as other reviews might have you think. The shawarma in pita bread was nicely seasoned and the garlic sauce spread throughout was actually delicious. The Shish Tawook meal was a little bit lackluster; the flavors were good but it tasted on the weaker side, personally I think it could've used more seasoning, especially in the rice. Unfortunately, the chicken in this dish was pretty dry. I do plan on returning here but definitely going to stick to the shawarma instead of getting the Shish Tawook again. The dessert and hot mint tea looked interesting and I intend to try them next time.

First impressions are very, very promising on their soft opening. We got there barely at the last minute and our orders were still super fresh and delicious. The person taking our order was charming despite some speaker quirkiness. The shawarma bowl and the kebab wrap were our choice, and we received a complimentary package of three falafel. The wrap was well balanced and scrummy. The rice bowl, met the wrap's standard and was quite filling - leftovers were had. Best falafel I've ever had. Extra points for the lack of styrofoam packaging. Always happy to see this. So excited to do my part to support this new business, so fortuitously placed on the edge of several lucky neighbourhoods. P.S. Don't forget the unforgettable baklava!! P.P.S. Did I mention this is a drive thru/walk up to the window joint?!

I love Middle-Eastern food and I'll eat just about anything but this place was just nasty, tiny and expensive. Tiny portions, everything was bland and it's pretty expensive too. This time I got a wrap and the"potato bowl" which was old French fries chicken, some kind of flavorless cream and pickles. $17 for the two things which combined is less good than a Chipotle bowl. The bowl was like trying to eat day old McDonald's fries with no ketsup, I was really hungry (after eating the little kabab wrap) but I still couldn't force myself to even take a third bite. The wrap is about the size of a normal hotdog on a cheap bun and has less flavor. I doubt there was any spices or herbs of any kind. I love Middle-Eastern food and I'll eat just about anything but this place was just nasty, tiny and expensive.
