Union Hill Event Hall — Attraction in Kansas City

Had my wedding here and I regret it big time. The owner called me the night before my wedding telling me I could my come in from 10-11pm to decorate even though I’m out contract it stated differently. He eventually said he would let me come earlier for $100 an hour. I obviously said HELL no because we had a contract. The morning of I showed up at 9am like we had agreed on and he comes up to me and asks me if I can stop the party at 10pm and be out by 11pm EVEN though the contracts states I have until 12am. So I asked him why he kept trying to change things last minute? He just went around in circles and eventually said I could stay until 12pm for $40. He clearly just wanted more money from us and we were sick of it. He kept coming into our wedding at least 11 times through out the day and would just walk around and look at people weird making us feel...

I’ve experienced several decorated events at the Union Hill Event Hall and each time the ambience is warm & inviting- leaving me no less than wowed! The space is so gorgeous and the owners are very professional, always making you feel like you’re home. The staff and their work ethic are upscale; The food is replenished throughout the entire party, the drinks range from refreshing fruit water to classy beverages and you never have to clean after each setting- the staff seamlessly takes care of it all! The landscape for outdoors is lighted beautifully for patio events during the daytime or evening. I’ve recommended my friends to hold their special events at Union Hill because of the quality of business at this easily accessible midtown location. The hall has been beautifully remodeled! It's very elegant and clean. It has nice carpet floors and beautiful lighting. The bathrooms are nice and clean. One thing I'd change would be the very strict kitchen rules. You literally can only use it to hold your food trays. Anything else is pretty much prohibited (can't use stove, can't use sink, can't keep your sodas in fridge without losing your deposit).
