The previous owners must have sold because the last 3 time I've gone there the food has been inedible. 🤑
Uh, when I go to a Chinese restaurant, I want Chinese food cooked by someone of the Chinese persuasion! News Flash: Fresh off the boat from India? You can't cook Chinese food if you can't even make white sauce!!!
I'm done! The white sauce is now clumps of corn starch that stick to the Broccoli and leaves a taste of paste in your mouth.
No thank you!
Now don't get me wrong, I love me some Indian food! I crave it. But you can bet your last bottom dollar that when I do go to an Indian restaurant, the food is prepaid by folk from that region of the world! 🤔
Well, I do drive a little to get to this location but it's worth it. Word to the wise, check your order before you leave. Last week I ordered shrimp and broccoli in white sauce. When I got home, I had beef and broccoli in brown sauce! It took me 3 days to finish that off.
Today I ordered shrimp and broccoli in white sauce with steamed rice and 2 bags of crispy noodles. I had them repeat the order to me.
When I got to the drive thru window, I reiterated that I wanted steamed rice. Girly was like, "It vines with it. It comes with it."
When she handed me my order, I looked in the bag. She was already holding the order for the car behind me.
She opened the window and I told her that I'd asked for steamed rice. She said, "Oh, I gave you the other rice." Then she just stood there. 🤣🤣🤣
And I just sat there!
She finally asked for the rice back 🤯 and a minute later she came back with an order of steamed rice. 🙂
I thanked her and pulled off.
It's a busy location and they do a good job getting the drive thru orders out, usually right but lately you've...
Read moreI ordered the triple delight (beef chicken shrimp) and egg drop soup. Honestly the food was very average. I totally came with low expectation for this kind of hole in the wall kind of place. But even for run of the mill Chinese food for the masses, it's average joe.
The good: portion size was good. protein was fresh, especially the shrimp. Lots of vegies. Sauce not too heavy. Egg drop soup was especially good. One of the better ones I had. They had something crunchy in the soup I liked, kind of unique. the fried noodle strip for the soup was also done nicely.
The not so good: Beef, Chicken were really dry. and for 12 bucks I wish they gave you a little more protein and less vegetable. Soup was extra charge. I wish they do what many other places do that provides a lunch special that includes soup. But everything here is a la cart. The steamed rice I ordered with it was dried out! Definitely not good. Probably because most people who go do not order steamed rice; customers order fried rice and it's easier for them to stir fry the rice when it starts out dry.
In conclusion, I probably will not be back. Lots of great Chinese places where a 12 dollar lunch special would provide more value and...
