As nice as it was getting a Starbucks on campus, it's not as nice actually having one, at least for now. Unfortunately, just a poorly operated branch. I've been here around 10 times, and these things have been the case at least 9 of them: Way too many people working to be efficient Order is taken by a trainee (high turnover?) Language (or, more accurately, pronunciation) barrier in communicating order Order returns incorrectly (comes hot instead of cold or vice versa, oat milk given instead of whole milk, reusable cup benefits not given, etc).
Although the staff are mostly very friendly, your best bet here is to be an assertive and over-enunciating person - which for many, does not come easy. Or, make a mobile order to avoid being misunderstood.
This has been my place to come when I've long days on campus and need a coffee midday, but the same issues have persisted for too long. I'll probably make the extra walk down to Crows when needed...
