Frank A. Theis Park in Kansas City, Missouri, is a hidden gem that offers a fantastic blend of nature and city amenities. Situated near a picturesque creek and in close proximity to Kansas City's best museum, it provides an ideal backdrop for relaxation and exploration.

One of its standout features is its location near the Country Club Plaza, which is known for premier shopping. This makes it a great spot to unwind after a shopping spree or even before, offering a peaceful oasis amidst the hustle and bustle of the city.

Overall had a great time EXCEPT for the entrance to event !!!!! Security stopped everyone to check for weapons even my little cigarette holder/bag. My daughters friend had a little fanny pack and she had a mini pepper spray SO....they took it and told her she could have it back when we're done in side the event at the park and to just stop back by there and get it from them. So we were ok with that. BUT.....once we got back to the entrance to leave they told us....NO!!! & THAT ONCE WE TAKE POSESSION OF ANY ITEMS IT'S THEIRS!!!! COMPLETELY WRONG AND VERY VERY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL ATTITUDES as far as i...

Pretty park with some nice views nearby and really close to the Country Club Plaza (if you're into that kind of thing), but there's no parking lot available. The nearest parking available is the UMKC parking garage about 3 blocks away. Sometimes you can park along the side of Oak Street, but not sure if that's always allowed. No restrooms. No playground equipment. Really just a big open green space with a walking trail. Saw lots of people...

Today's visit was in support of the annual Vision Walk. We had rain lightening and thunder and it all cleared up for the event. 🙂. The park in located in a great central spot close to the plaza and art gallery. There's street and parking lot parking with a nice path through the park.

Serene place for a walk anytime. Great looping sidewalk routes. One time I left my car in the Ewing & Muriel memorial gardens parking lot past closing time (usually they close the lot off with cones). I noticed, hurried to my car and saw they had left it open for me!!
