By far our favorite spot to go with the kids - the building has limited hours but we often go and play at their outdoor areas - Sycamore Station is tucked way back in the trails and is a fantastic nature play area that lets kids "disappear" into the woods in the middle of the city, making forts with the cut tree limbs and playing in a makeshift tepee. It is always changing so we never know what kind of adventure we are...

The landscaping and hiking trails are very cool. I'm sure this would be a great place for families to take kids or for small groups.

However, it has been my least favorite of the locations my kid's school goes to on field trips due to the grumpy staff. They tend to pick on the same kid in each group. They are gruff with both kids and parent volunteers. I would not recommend this as a field...

The day we came to the center there was a turtle exhibit going on where you can pet and hold live turtles. The ladies were very knowledgeable about turtles. Outside of the exhibit there were other small animals you can view such as snakes. Free, educational center with bonus trails in the back. We enjoyed it and recommend it if you...
