The Hungry Hatch — Restaurant in Kansas City

Last time I came I enjoyed a bowl that had some delicious sweet plantains and wanted to give this place another go. This time it was disheartening the poor customer service. Thankfully, customer service is very important to me I've worked in retail for about 8 years and NO MATTER WHAT I engage with the customers that enter the store no matter what they look like or what ethnicity they are. Especially if they are staring at the menu, smiling, hoping for assistance or some sort of greeting, SOMETHING. But as soon as I walked away to look for my partner whom was going to indulge as well I finally get some engagement from the young lady working in which she says "Well thanks for stopping by!" After looking at the reviews others have had good experiences with customer service it just so happens that I do not look like them. I just wanted the owner to be informed. Bad communication (management ) If you don’t mind working for a job where the manager has no phone number for contact in case of an emergency (there’s no restaurant phone either) , doesn’t have the resources for you to call out EVER , will schedule days you request off and will let you go after one infraction then this is the place for you!

I have a kid thankfully I have a second job and an amazing support system , this is a complete honest review for those seeking work. The review is not towards the products sold.

On the plus side - Food is healthy and fresh and prepared for you in a sanitary area , and the team members are very friendly!

My husband and I booked The Hungry Hatch food truck for our wedding. We loved it! The anesthetic of the food truck complemented the simple and relaxed vibe we were going for.

One of the reasons we picked the Hungry Hatch was because of the variety of healthy and fresh menu items. We're both vegans and some of our guests also had dietary preferences/restrictions. It was nice to have options for everyone! Some of our guests were skeptical, but several family and friends told us after how much they enjoyed their food! Plus their prices were reasonable compared to other plant-based options we explored.
