Taste of Brazil Restaurant & Bar — Restaurant in Kansas City

Taste of Brazil catered my graduation party and it was the BEST decision I could have made. Literally everyone was talking about how good the food was. Definitely the highlight of my party and now I know who will be catering my wedding in a few years!! We ordered 1 pan of chicken (my personal favorite), 1/2 pan of sausage, 1/2 pan of beef, 1 pan of pinto beans, 1 pan of black beans, 2 pans of rice, 1 pan of salad and 70 cheese bread (the best bread you will ever eat) and 70 brigadeiros (a gooey, fudgy brownie-like truffle). It was the perfect amount for 50 guests, but I would actually recommend getting 1 or 1.5 pans of rice for 50 because we had 1 whole pan leftover. Marco and Molly are awesome, soo nice and helpful. The ordering process was super easy and they made sure we had everything we needed. As for the restaurant itself, if you haven't been, you are missing out. Go now!! The pricing is VERY reasonable and you'll probably come home with leftovers because the portions are generous. It's clean, it's a fun dining experience and of course the food will knock your socks off. I seriously can't say enough good things about this place and neither could my guests. I should have taken a before pic, but I got the #1 and the amount of meat they gave me was pitiful, maybe two table spoons. It was in the upper right corner of the box in the pic. The food was not particularly flavorful and actually somewhat bland. Maybe the meat was flavored better, but there was such a tiny amount that it was hard to tell. I also ordered a #9 chicken creamcheese fried dumpling thing. It tasted better and had far more meat despite it only being $4 compared to the $13 meal. However, they forgot to give me the #9 in my order. So after coming home and beginning to eat, I had to go back out and go back to the market to get the rest of my order. The waitress was very confident she gave me my complete order when she handed it to me, I guess I should have double checked. Riverfront Farmer's Market is one of the best attractions in KC MO. I have already discussed Blue Nile in another review, but after a stirring experience of the treasures of the Steamboat Arabia and getting feelings of nostalgia like I'm a little, little kid again, it's refreshing to wait for the rest of the group in some outdoor seating with some guarana juice before me. You like tall, frosty bottles of Coca-Cola with real sugar? How about chocolate truffles? Tell you what, my family agrees their coxinhas are delicious, and perhaps most noteworthy, my brother and sister-in-law enjoy their steak! Finally, Taste of Brazil is famous for fresh coconut milk and a very sweet caïpirinha! Saúde!
