A terrific escape room experience! We had 7 of us ages 14 to 53 working on "The Hero" and it was challenging but we solved it! We were more than happy to drive in from outer suburb for this. The official rate is five stars for the experience -- four stars for the location and for the photo experience.
The game itself was really fun with various puzzles for people to work on together and simultaneously. We had people of various skill sets (think artists and engineers) and we found it exciting, cool, and unpredictable.
The location is easy enough to find with GPS in the River Market with a great vibe inside. But the parking was limited and awkward to exit from. It would be better to offer the "parking map" as a google map with dropped points and have it linked on the home page. I didn't find it until after we visited.
The customer service rep took one photo of us on his cell phone and emailed it to us later. It was grainy because it was taken in lower light. It would have been awesome to have a better quality photograph to share at the end of the evening, similar to what is offered at the Exit Room.

Read moreWe do escape rooms in pretty much every city we visit. This was our first time doing one in Kansas City. After doing one experience, we received a discount if we wanted to try it again without an expiration date. So a few days later we came back. That actually should tell you something. That if we want to go back again and try a different escape room in the same facility, it must be pretty good. I like how they list how to difficult each room is. We absolutely loved the Christmas themed room. There five of us in our group and we all stayed busy. We definitely recommend and would go again! Side note- make sure you go around the side as we tried to go in the front of the building and that it's not where you enter. We parked on the street but there generally is parking in the...
Read moreIt was a good time. I'd do it again. I think it's best to start out with an easier room your first time. The room holds up to 8. So, keep in mind if you don't have a party of 8, you may have strangers added to your room. We did the Gambler room. It was an 8/10 for toughness. It was tough. We did not breakout but were minutes away from doing so. The clues are great! The staff is helpful. I feel it's hard for everyone to have a chance at solving when there are that many. It kind of ends up being a few solving everything while the rest stand back feeling like they are in the way. By the way, 5 year olds can attend but there is no price reduction. They are $30 just like...
