Their ordering is Cafe style, although they bring the food out to you with a number stand. They have a small counter window inside, as well as a kiosk that you can order from.
We tried their avocado tempura tacos, which were interesting although maybe could have used a little salsa or something but they were still tasty with the fresh lime. The SO loved them. It seemed like most of the taste was the oil and fried double corn tortillas more than the avocado.
The mushroom taco, tasted pretty good, but had maybe two thin slices of mushroom - there was almost no filling. If what we got is representative and not a one off, I probably wouldn't order them again.
The black bean tacos were very simple, but pretty good.
The atmosphere was kind of festive with light strips and they were bustling with customers inside. It had a slightly dimmed red light vibe.
The staff were friendly and very helpful, going out of their way to be helpful. Service took a few, but was reasonable for a sit down restaurant.
We bought four tacos each and enjoyed them, but went away a bit hungry still. Depending on your appetite you probably need at least 4-5 or likely more and they add up in price fast. We will likely try it again sometime, it was good, but I wouldn't say great and a bit expensive for the amount of filing you get in the tacos. I might look at their...

Brian's fave was the Dripping Birria taco. Chris' was the super stuffed Surf n Turf Burrito (crispy shrimp, chopped beef, fries, etc). Susannah's was the street corn (which was a close second for me too). Mine was the loaded Tiki Fries! Curly fries covered in queso and queso fresco with fresh cilantro and pico on top.
I also really liked the Korean Beef taco (exactly the flavor fusion I wanted) and my hot honey cocktail: Pineapple Fuego 😍
And we ALL liked the Chocolate Dipped Dessert Taco... with cinnamon-horchata-esque ice cream. Oh my lanta!
Brian really liked the quesadilla with chorizo, and with the sour cream it was a great bite, there were just bigger winners on the table for me. The Thai Fried Chicken Taco was good when I got a bite with a hearty piece of chicken in it (some bites were all breading) but could have used a bit more sauce. I think Chris felt the same about his Sweet Chili Shrimp Taco.
The queso and chips were delish, but I think it's best show cased in the Tiki Fries 🤤
We over ordered as usual, but we didn't leave a morsel on the table. And we had friendly, happy, and helpful service whether at the bar or at the table. Foodies were fans...
Read moreFirst time eating TIKI TACO and let me say I wasn't disappointed. Now we eat tacos and quesadillas from everywhere simply because my husband and employees are Mexican. Even my husband who is picky enjoyed his taco de pastor. Tacos are $2.85 a piece and worth it, the taco was full of meat with fresh pineapple (most places don't serve pineapple on their pastor tacos), we originally stopped there because we had already been working 8 hours and I need to use the restroom. If you know the location most gas stations don't have public restrooms so as a female finding a restroom and one that is clean is a huge plus. Staff was all friendly and the interior was super clean even though we came in after lunch rush. What impressed me the most was the pitcher of ice water and cups right as you enter the door. A community service that didn't go unnoticed, no one has to move through patrons and can get a cup of water without being embarrassed or shunned for asking for a cup. I believe I will go back when we are in that part of town working. Thank tiki taco for good food, clean restroom, and sliding in that community service without having to announce you are doing it. Oh and I could even park my work truck in the parking lot no problem.... most places there isn't parking for...
