I only go in the Drive-Thru. I hardly like Wendy's but my boyfriend loves Wendy's. He always gets it before work so sometimes I order food with him. For almost a year this place still doesn't understand what a drink with NO ICE is. Even when I repeat it to them or they repeat back it TO ME, they'll still hand me a drink with ice. And then when I say, "oh I'm sorry, this has no ice". They always seem so upset even though they repeated it to me. Or they would give me attitude. I really don't like going here but we go here like three times a week.
We always get a large combo Meal with large chili cheese fries. The amount of times the portion of the chili cheese fries gets shortened is crazy. There's been a few times where my chili cheese fries container is only halfway filled. Or the replace some fries with just extra chili beans. So it's more chili then fries. I feel like I shouldn't notice a difference in my food every single time I go .
And when they "accidentally" put ice in my drink, half the time I don't tell them. Because there will be a line and I don't want to hold them up. And they usually have a line. And it only takes a minute or less to remake a drink, but they be taking 3-5mins. I can see them in the window so I really don't see what takes them so long. Especially after they already gave me my food. All I need is my drink fixed at that point. Should be nothing else we're waiting for. I think they know what they're doing because my large cup today was filled top to bottom with ice. And this was one of the moments where I reminded him at the window.
I always make sure to tell them, And I always ask at the window. And because I'm such a regular customer and I recognize all their faces. I just don't understand why when they see me, they don't go, "oh shoot, no ice in her drink". You know? I work at a fast food place too. If I see a customer 3 to four times a week, I kind of recognize their order after a while. That's how often I sadly go to this place because of my bf. 😭 I hardly eat there anymore but he still orders the same thing for lunch. I just don't appreciate that they're not taking their job seriously.
Sometimes they put new people in the window and I know they need to learn but it definitely slows them down drastically. They need a new teaching method...
Read morePersonally, I love this Wendy's location and the drive through. There seems to be a lot of turnover in the drive through which is weird because every associate I have encountered there has been awesome. This is not about drive through. This is about the cluster in dine in which I experienced for the first time last week.
So... Highlights: these do not seem like people who would spit in your food or intentionally make you wait. They are an earnest bunch. So. Very. Earnest.
I ended up having to wait for my order for about 18 minutes or so - I was delivering for a job, so this is no bueno. The reason why I had to wait: there was a person who had blond crusty the clown hair (but in a good, enviable way) who was working the food line. Awesome hair person's only draw back seemed to be: place bun on wrapper, make a fist and rest knuckles on counter, one mississippi-two Mississippi-three Mississippi, place burger on bun, make a fist and rest knuckles on counter, one mississippi-two Mississippi-three Mississippi, place lettuce on burger, make a fist and rest knuckles on counter, one mississippi-two Mississippi-three Mississippi, etc. That person was the ONLY one independently working. Everyone else had abandoned their stations and were clustering around whatever the next step was for each customer. Everyone gathered around the com, then everyone gathered around the money taker, then everyone gathered around the computer to see what the first item was for the bag, everyone gathered to the fries, everyone gathered to the burger line, everyone gathered back to the window... 😆 it was hilarious to watch. But since I was waiting for other people's food, it also kinda ticked me off.
Also... This Wendy's is not set up for deliveries. McDonald's is clearly set up to sell dumpster juiced cardboard on a bun and Wendy's is the clear palatable champion, but MDs is ORGANIZED. Wendy's needs to do some Mickey Dees recon to see how to efficiently set up...
Read moreWe are just preparing to visit our local Wendy's right now. We are actually reluctant to go now but we hate to give up on Wendy's.This review is based on what we have just read in previous reviews. After we order and eat now we will review again immediately. These previous reviews will sure keep most people away. I hope our new one that we will send asap will be much better than those we have just read.
We ordered and ate our dinner from Wendy's at 77th and Tauromee Ave. We will not return for a while. Service was slow and people working there were rude. They were very immature and wanted to make out with each other instead of cooking and serving customers well. Previously salads were always so very fresh but that was not the case this evening. My apple pecan salad was not at all fresh. Our burgers were cold. We used to really enjoy Wendys. We are very disappointed to see how the service and food has deteriorated. We will wait and hope that improvements will be made. We will try one more time at...
