Y’all know when an establishment is good and the food is tasty and service was helpful and great we can’t say enough of a place. This is not one of that sort of posts. It would help diners who have visited this place to check their banking activity, and those who are thinking abt giving this place a go - think twice before you dine here and please take a moment to read our story.

Yesterday 07/27 afternoon, a group of high school students went to 3 Little Pigs Ramen in Asian town for lunch. Party of 6. We all know that tables of 6 or more 18% gratuity is applied without hesistation. In fact, one of those students alerted the group that 18% gratuity was in effect for parties of 6 or more. We get that. We honor that. Our student was one of them. Server L. served this table. Menus were placed at one end. Not handed out. Minimal service performed. Ramen was very basic, broth had no depth or flavor AND the ramen items pricey [Kizuki Ramen round the corner( which has outstanding service and food) ]plus none of this cheeky addition on their CHOWBUS smart tablets.

Here’s where the next issue occurred. Our table split up the checks respectively. Because the first friend had a Ramune along with their ramen orders that added some “ complications” on the tablet .. our student volunteered to pay first. She never left the tablet.. she indicated in the tablet for the 18% gratuity BUT typed NO TIP to additional tip. She signed for it. Took it in faith all was good till our student got home checked the receipt with online banking and found 3 Little Pigs added the additional tip on on the check. In fact, additional tip was addded on all 3 checks. Server L. claimed he was the one who served their table last night. We even asked to see the manager today but Server L. insisted he could take care of things when we mentioned we want to dispute the extra tiip which our student indicated NO TIP to. Server L. said he will provide manager’s name and contact afterwards. He also mentioned he only works part time at this location. Server L was adamant what he did last night, meanwhile my student out of the goodness of heart refrained from calling this server out for blatant lies. He printed out our entire table’s separate receipts and handed them to us. I requested for the additional tip to be refunded and server L. asked us what we wanted to do… our response was “just refund what he felt is right for the grievance caused”. He refunded a few cents more than the added tip our student gave .. lo and behold! He refunded to someone else’s credit card .. good thing! we did not travel far before we realized his mistake; we turned the car around and went right back to 3 Little Pigs Ramen and address this FOOLISH mistake. 🚩No apology while he tended to the refund once more this time to our credit card for the exact amount of the additional tip.

The photo you see is the heading for the receipt paper of 3 Little Pigs- the phone number listed - IT IS NOT THEIR PHONE NUMBER!!! THEY DON’T HAVE ONE as server L. explained it was the former business’ phone number. So if you have complains etc , it’ll be frustration for the customer. Another Red Flag 🚩! Unprofessional and not together kind of business.

Going back to the three separate receipts of our table, server L. got his gratuity x 3 plus an additional $20 from additional tipping … he made approx $40-$45 from one table yesterday for subpar service( hardly doing much), bland food. Dishonest tipping practice. This is not even a 1-2 Michelin ⭐️ restaurant. Just a small place.

He provided the manager/owner’s number which he insisted during our visit today that he would call the manager first before we did. It’s all very suss, yall! I called twice and left one text message to return my call. See pic! The business owner or manager’s response. No call back! It’s been about 5 hours since that text response from her. 🚩

Soft dim lighting gives this place a shy of 2 stars for atmosphere.

We will never support a business which is fairly new and have such...

Located at Katy Asiantown, you will not see the restaurant's name in English but the sign with 3 little pink pigs and its name in Japanese. My son and I walked on a weekday after 11am. We sat at a booth. The decor of anime drawings was cute and the place was cozy. There was a group of ladies (about 6 of them) who sat in the middle. Their conversation was loud and echoed throughout the place and this was the only annoyance about the restaurant that I have to put up with. It had high ceiling which was hollow (looked like metal beams) that doesn't suite well when the place gets crowded and noisy.

The menu was very limited so we ordered:

Appetizers: **Takoyaki - octopus balls, bite size, comes in 6, not bad but would like more pieces of octopus **kushikatsu (pork belly skewers) - over cooked and dry (remove half star)

Noodles: You will have to build your own noodles. Starting at $5 you get the broth and add $1.50 for your choice of noodles. The toppings including hot sauce are extra so be careful on piling the toppings you like.

I chose the Spicy Tonkotsu and their recommendations from the menu i.e. green onions, kikurage (wood ear mushrooms), narutomaki (fish cake), nori (seaweed) and chili paste. Recommendation also mentioned seasoned egg but waitress left it out from the order. I cannot believe green onions and chili paste are extra costs...shame shame on them... remove one star. However the flavors were there and it was tasty. Be warn with the chili paste...a little goes a long way!

My son chose the shoyu ramen bowl which is soy sauce broth along with seasoned egg, grilled chicken, bamboo shoot, garlic oil, butter. The broth was light and refreshing. This was the first shoyu that actually tasted good as others lack the depth of flavor.

Overall the ramen serving was a decent size and delicious. The server was nice and was the only one on the floor handling everything. I may come back when I want a more authentic bowl of ramen but rather go elsewhere for my money worths. 3.5 stars but rounded up to 4 star for...

I’d like to add that when we first went in,Saturday night, Anne was our server and it took a little bit of time for our order to be checked out, not blaming her since she was the only one checking people in and also serving the food, adding another server would be best for taking less time on ordering and also on waiting for the food to be served as well, she was the only one there that served and took our orders, overall she was very nice and helpful.

Food wise I would say if you know what you want and know how to mix things up well as putting the ingredients together you’re very well up to try it on your own and if you’re just brand new into it, I would say to base off of the recommendations that they got for the broth and the the noodles, their takoyaki is the best.

The atmosphere feels like the place itself is divided into three different things, the wood seating isle, middle isle and the facing to the wall side idle, I’d recommend two seating isles it could be best if they had the same thing from the right side which is the wood seating face to face seats to have that as well to the other side of the wall just so that it’s not a lot of difference there and leave the middle isle as it is just so it’s also a very interesting and it’s a very good way to...
