Finally Tried That Always-Passing-By Restaurant in Houston's Katy Asia Town

This place is just really underwhelming. We had the fries (with classic toppings), the dumplings, and the teriyaki chicken. All of those were mediocre at best. However, they first brought the fries over and actually initially got our order wrong. There were NO toppings on it and we brought it up to the server and we supposedly were only missing the cheese, when the description of the toppings included gravy, cheese, bacon, green onion and more. After, she brought over our 'corrected' order but all it had was unsalted fries with a bit of cheddar cheese and we around one ounce of gravy. Just to remind you, they were STILL missing the bacon and the green onion (at least)! Not only did they get the order wrong both times, but the food they did get right was so mediocre. There wasn't anything exceptional about the taste in the dumplings or the teriyaki chicken, and paired with the underwhelming tasteless fries showed its poor performance. They did offer some free samples, which was nice and created a good initial first impression, and I liked their fried chicken. They also gave us this almond dessert that was also ok. Also, they didn't even provide us with free water! We had to buy a water bottle for a dollar which is kind of outrageous. Overall, I was disappointed with their poor performance as they got our order wrong twice and their poor taste. Wouldn't recommend, but there are more options than the ones explained in this review.

Very different concept. It's like a food court but you don't see the restaurants. You only see the eating area, which is pretty big. Currently, they have three restaurants: Bowl King, Thai Street, and Mr. Sun (sushi). Each has their own menu, but you can mix and match. It looks like they plan to add more restaurants. You place your order at the counter or a kiosk. They bring it to you in to go boxes - rice in a cardboard box, curry in a plastic container with snap on lid, bowl in a plastic to go bowl. If you are eating in, they give you a cardboard plate to dump your rice and curry on. If you order "to go", they bag it up for you. I had red curry chicken from Thai Street, my wife had a pork bowl with egg from Bowl King, and we got a to go noodles and chicken from Bowl King for my granddaughter. All of the food was good and portions were large enough to bring some home. When you order, they ask what spice level you want. I like spicy food, but don't know this place so I ordered medium. It was plenty hot enough for me, made my nose run. My granddaughter got mild and said it had a zing to it. They have 2 levels over medium. Order them at your own risk :-). Service was good, but they left the sauce out of our to go order. I would go back. Pic is red curry with chicken. The amount in the plate is about 1/3 of what they give you.

Really awkward place. After we ordered our food they asked to pay/tip before we even received our food. I understand that is the food court idea they were going for but why wouldn’t that be explained before we were sat at our table. My wife and my foods came out separately. The servers seemed nice but really weird. I little had the manager come up to me and say “is there an issue”. To my confusion because I had said anything besides asking if my potato was still coming out. Then explained she was leaving but if there were any issues let the servers know . The food was very bland , extremely underwhelming. Seemed like things you buy at the store frozen premade. There are so many place I like to go near there and I would recommend those places . We left and ordered 10 second...
