A Disappointing Experience Over Ice Cups
I recently had an experience with Chick-fil-A that left me thoroughly disappointed and frustrated. As a frequent customer, I have always appreciated their exceptional service and quality food. However, this time, the service fell short over what seemed to be a trivial matter—extra cups of ice.
I placed a substantial order amounting to $93 for a family. Given the size of the order, I requested four extra cups of ice. To my surprise, the staff refused my request. They insisted that they couldn't provide the additional ice cups. Their rigid stance on this issue ultimately led me to cancel the entire order.
When they took my order, they should have informed me that extra cups would incur an additional cost. I would have appreciated knowing this upfront to avoid any confusion and inconvenience. It’s perplexing that a company known for its customer service would rather lose a large order than accommodate a simple request. This experience not only inconvenienced me but also left a negative impression on the guests I was hosting. It's disappointing to see that a minor request could overshadow the otherwise positive aspects of Chick-fil-A’s service.
I would suggest that Chick-fil-A consider implementing a policy where customers who place large orders are entitled to a certain number of extra cups of ice. This would show appreciation for high-value customers and ensure a more satisfactory experience.
This incident has made me reconsider my loyalty to Chick-fil-A. While I understand that policies are in place for a reason, the inability to show flexibility and prioritize customer satisfaction in this situation was a major letdown. I hope that Chick-fil-A re-evaluates their policies to better accommodate their customers' needs...
Read moreI'm a frequent customer as my kids love the food. Post the COVID-19 outbreak, I have noticed a few things which I have brought to the attention of associates and the manager a few times. I am posting this since I haven't seen a reasonable response or change in the behavior.
When taking orders, I have repeatedly asked the associates who come to the car (risking exposure) to keep a distance. Since I haven't seen much of a change, I now just crack my window open to speak with them and use a mask
When paying - I usually pay ApplePay to avoid contact - the kids in the delivery window seems to insist either getting a card or touching the device to the phone. Perhaps they're driven by a metric on speedy checkout, but this defeats the purpose of contactless. Today I heard overt displeasure expressed by the kids
When I spoke with the manager about these, the first response I got was pretty much "well if you dont like it, use our app". While the suggestion is great, it is clear the point is not getting through. Its not just me, its the 1000s of customers who come to you and the associates you are exposing.
In a pandemic, when there are a fair number of people, many of whom may have underlying conditions themselves of have such people at home, are trying to keep lives as normal as possible - facilitate it.
What blows my mind is that the associates are exposing themselves (many don't wear protection, of if they do wear it improperly - e.g., nose exposed - what's the point).
Last thing I want it to have this joint be a hot-spot and shut down causing inconvenience and stopping livelihood of some associates.
I hope the management gives a serious thought to this and change the practices. Else, it is disaster waiting to occur - both healthwise and...
Read moreUpdate: I went to chick fil a tonight & again the sandwiches had a bad taste and the bun looked odd, it was like flat and much more white than usual. I unfortunately couldn't finish the sandwiches :( it leaves a weird feeling in my mouth after. Like a blood type almost mucusy (gross) feeling and makes me have to swallow more even after several minutes after my last bite. Ew. I will not be taking this up with management as I am not trying to cause a issue at the store it's just I wish this didn't happen. I'll chalk it up to paying it forward as one time I went here and I forgot my money at home and they just let me have the food and the food was spectacular that day. I think I'll just be taking a hiatus from this location possibly all chick fil as, because maybe it's just me because my mom said her sandwich was fine (she got the deluxe I got the regular spicy sandwich).. (but then again she never complains) maybe my taste buds have changed but tbh I don't think this is the case.. anyways farewell chick fil a.. . For now at least. Also remember this is the chick fil a by the super target on Westheimer road. P.s the fries were on point I'll give u that. I guess I'll be hitting my side chick raising Cane's up.
It's a great location. However sometimes the chicken sandwiches are not on point and have a strange taste.. I actually could not finish my sandwich the last time I ate here :(. Still a 5 star location however as I understand these things happen. One other thing is the fries are not very on point either. It's like I get old fries that are barley warm. :( I'll still go here as it's the closest one & it is the best fast food service by far. McDonald's has...
