Whataburger — Restaurant in Katy

Im giving a one star only so it can let me do this review , well at least this store my friend worked there for them she's from cuba can not speak English doesn't not have any family here she's here alone with her 7 yr old son, they would use her only when needed she kept asking for at leat 40 hrs a week to be able to provide for her son. They only gave her hours on holidays when no one else would work, like on new years eve the had her on the schedule to work from 6:30 to 2pm which she worked, but then they told her to go back from 11pm to 2am that same day because they had nobody to wrk those hrs and since they knew how bad she needed to work they told her to go. She decided to quit she has all this msgs from like 2 managers telling the good of employee she is but after she said no to all the promises they made her one of the manager wrote "fyi: it's never a good thing to burn an employer by just quiting you might need a reference some day or need the job back". But honestly she WILL NO BE GOING BACK TO WORK THERE. After seeing her cry they way she was for all this i decided to get a higher manager on the phone i got his phone number chuck was his name i trien explaining to him the situation, but he said that legally he could no speak to me because i wan not an employee, ok i told him can i go with her and speak to you aboutball this in person again he said no. It is really sad that even the top manager is same ways as others taking advantage of employees they know need so much the job and are no able to speak up for themselves because they are scared to loose their job. And yes we proofs of everything i said on here this is no just a mad employee. Good luck to new employees that end up in this store the ones that are like my friend in...

stopped by 2 nights ago. Past midnight. To my delight, they were open. That was as far as my delight went and whence my chagrin commenced. I stopped by the drive-through and waited for almost 10 mins, no response/reaction. I drove up to the second window. Ordered for a Mushroom Swiss burger meal, and got asked to drive up to the white line where I waited while 4 cars drove up behind me, ordered, then drove away, past me. A staff walked up to me ~20 mins later and handed me my meal and I drove off. Two stops down the highway, i checked my package, and realized they'd skimped on my drink. NO drink. Uturn. Went back. The lady on duty said "oh, i didn't think you wanted a drink!!!!. Really??? WTF? I told her i'd paid for a meal, showed my my receipt, asked her if meals came with drinks. "Oh you want a drink??? she asked me!!!?! [by now i'm thinking she's racist]. I stayed by the window, refused to budge, and prised a drink (that i'd paid - and been charged for on my credit card) off her. Got home. Only to discover she'd given me a cheapo base burger - a dry, tepid burger, with lettuce/tomato - . Not the mushroom and Swiss that i paid for... Still have the receipt. Super disappointed with this location. They've stooped to McDonald's standards... Before you drive off, check every SINGLE drink, every SINGLE burger to make sure they're not switching up on you.... Like they did on me. Or better still, skip...
