Russo's New York Pizzeria & Italian Kitchen | Morton Ranch — Restaurant in Katy

While finishing ice cream from marble slab a few doors down, my 9 year old son and I were politely kicked out of a table and chairs in the common area next to the restaurant.

"I'm sorry but these are for Russos dining only."

The table & chairs are set up in the middle of the breezeway of the strip center, not grouped near or hugging the restaurant. Between that, the absence of diners or table settings, and zero signage to indicate the chairs were protected and reserved only for guests of Russo's, I was really caught off guard when asked to leave.

Although ive thought many times about giving this place a try, I'm glad that I've never supported this businesses, and now I never will.

Perhaps they shouldnt display their property as a fixture of a community area if they do not want people to use it.

Must be a huge business deterrent--a guy and his child sitting quietly and eating ice cream in an empty...

This place isn't far from my house so I was really hoping it was going to be good. I went with my son and he ordered the shrimp fra diavolo and I got a tortellini dish with a vodka marinara/Alfredo sauce. The texture of the shrimp was chewy and tough and the pasta was heavily coated in chili oil and tasted like chili paste and was extremely spicy. I couldn't even eat it and we just left it. The tortellini was hard and seemed like it was the prepackaged kind like you get from the grocery store. I ordered a piece of turtle cheesecake and I can at least say that was very good. I guess for $60 for 2 entrees, 2 drinks, and 1 slice of cheesecake I expected better quality. Maybe some of the other items would be better choices but...

2nd visit, 2 previous times take out Pizza.On Tuesday early evening we dined in.our order was parm sandwich and meatball sandwich ...which was pure and simple..awful. Parm sandwich consisted of thin Julianned slices of chicken with cheese and no added sauce. I honestly don't know if it was breaded.My spouses sandwich didn't resemble one meatball as it appeared to be crumbled beef. and again no added sauce and cheese . What us going on here?.The service was good, attentive and we were asked how was the food and we provided an answer, other then sorry we wernt offered different food or refund ..So disappointed 30+ bucks down the drain.while we love your pizza, im thinking we will think twice in future..do...
