I ordered a number 1 combo, and was very pleased with my experience. Good customer service, management, and a clean environment to enjoy the meal in. The food came fast, and it was hot and fresh. The drive thru was full and there was an order ahead of mine in store. I got my food in about two minutes. My past experience with this location was that the Oles were always soggy and very oily - an indication of being fried in cold oil. However this time they were everything I love about Taco John's. Crispy, seasoned Oles that are complimented oh so well by the crisp refreshing taste of a fountain soda from a well adjusted machine. The Tacos were filled with a nice amount of beef and lettuce, and the ingredients were fresh and of high quality. The staff knew the menu and any questions I had about it -and the service was friendly. They made sure to ask if I wanted hot or mild sauce. Always a pleasure when things go smoothly. I called one day to tell them I was tired of wasting my gas money to come and get the cheese and would prefer a refund for just the cheese, they passed me to the manager who hung up on me. I called back and it rang for ten minutes, called off my husband's phone and they answered immediately. The manager then yelled at me and called me a liar claiming he put the cheese in the bag himself, although I had never told them my name or order. I sent a message to corporate who said the owner of the store would call me to discuss it, it has been MONTHS and nothing. I reached back out to corporate to find the owner has claimed to reach out to me several times, he most certainly has not. The manager tonight at 9:01 PM on July 16 of 2021 accuse me of being here last week without a receipt for a remake order. I wasn’t even in Kearney last week I was in Omaha all week. It’s not right for someone accuse you of doing something and you’re not the One doing it. They don’t need to be accusing anyone of anything also we never received a receipt I had to show my bank statement which is pathetic. Never again will I come here to eat ever again.
