I don't recommend this place b/c they sneak in charges on your bill believing their customers won't notice, don't take accountability for it, & have poor customer service skills to handle situation. I have eaten here 3 times & bought flan from this bakery in the past year. I have noticed little charges on my final bill...extra $1 here, extra $1 there & didn't make big deal about it b/c it's only $1, right? I thought, maybe I didn't read the menu right. When I bought flan last year, the guy that packed it told me it was one price. But when I looked at the receipt it was $3 more than he told me. Since it was wrapped & I needed to go, I didn't say anything. Fast forward to the present, I came here to dine with my family of 5. Dining experience was fine. But the interaction I had w/ Domingos management afterwards, turned me off from ever coming back. My mom realized after she paid the bill that they had charged us incorrectly on some dishes we ordered. She realized this shortly after we left the place. I decided to take action because it was clear to me now that they have a pattern of deceptive charging. You see, if you don't speak up b/c you think, 'the amount is so insignificant', you just enable these businesses to do whatever they please and suddenly $1 is now $5 is now $10 and so on. I compared our bill items with the menu & there was no justification for the mischarges. I called & spoke to the owner's wife who told me she was very busy & asked if she could call me back. She asked me what exactly I had been mischarged for & as I began to go through it she told me she was updating her prices & getting new menus. I said, that's nice but you have to charge me according to the menu I was given. She said hold on, let me review it... and proceeded to hang up on me. I went back to the bakery & spoke to the owner's wife in person. I said, are you the woman that hung up on me? She said oh no, I said I would call you back. How were you going to call me back when you didn't even ask me for my name or number? Showed her receipt w/ the items in question. Extra $1 for juice (her explanation was that it was a LARGE juice...I said we were not asked what size we wanted, menu clearly states it’s only one size & price for OJ). Extra $1.50 for a dish that came with meat (menu stated could substitute it with another meat for one flat price, did so, but were still charged extra). Extra $2 for avocado (menu photo of the dish had avocado in it, the waitress asked do you want avocado? My mom said, doesn't it come with avocado? Waitress says YES, but asks b/c some people don't want the avocado. There was NO line item for the avocado or it's cost). She had no justifiable explanation & actually seemed nervous trying to defend her deceptive charges. Here's the thing: don't tell me your prices on your computer are different from your menu. Don't also try to justify extra charges & then have an attitude of, oh well what's done is done, you should have brought this up to me while you were dining. Or blame it on your waitress for failing to tell me about your hidden charges. Or that the prices includes TAX when there's clearly a separate line item for sales tax. She was clearly trying to think of something, anything! This women's lack of customer service skills was shocking. She insinuated I was being disrespectful & I said ME? Because I was firm in my stance? Because by finding these errors, I was calling you out on your deception? I am the one who feels disrespected. As a customer, I give you my business and this is how you treat me? With hesitation, she gave me back the money owed to my mom via cash out of the register & not via the credit card which is how we paid. I made the mistake of trusting the staff & their billing and not doing my due diligence of checking the bill before signing off on it. And of not speaking up in the past when I noticed incorrect charges. Is it too much to ask that your menu be reflective of your true pricing? I hope that your "new" menus are updated correctly. Overall, very disappointed in this...
Read moreI’ve attached two photos, showing my order from a week ago (using the same Buy 1 get 1 promo) and my order from today. I was notified my order was ready and 5 minutes later, a $5 adjustment was added to my order. It said it was adjusted due to “add ons” but the only “add on” i requested was the “free” sauce that comes with the empanadas. I called the store and asked why and they said “the price was wrong in uber it shouldn’t be $15.” I explained it’s a promotion for buy 1 get 1 and that you’re not supposed to adjust for uber promotions. Then they kept repeatedly telling me they don’t speak English even though they understood my first question. After talking to 2 different people who supposedly couldn’t understand me, the lady told me to just contact uber. There’s no way this could have been a mistake, not only because they’ve been on uber eats and understand how the promotions work, but I literally just ordered a week ago using the same buy 1 get 1 promo and I had no issues a week ago. And with the slight possibility that it was a mistake, you don’t just charge your customers for things you’re not sure of. Don’t get me wrong, the food here tastes great, but I feel like they tried to pull a fast one on me as if I wouldn’t realize and then made me resolve the issue myself by telling me to contact uber. Been getting empanadas from here for years and I won’t order from here again if they’re gonna be adding $5 whenever they feel like it for no reason. Bring a friend who speaks Spanish if you’re gonna...
Read moreI met my wife for lunch yesterday and we decided to go to Domingo's Bakery for a quick bite to eat. We gave our order to a very nice lady and were waiting for our sandwiches and smoothies to be made. A tall bald man came in and started cleaning up. I was standing with my wife holding her hand when he noticed my wife. His demeanor changed immediately and he asked if our order had been taken and do we need anything. When I answered him that we were taken care of he ignored me and again asked my wife if SHE needed anything. She said No we already gave our order. It was obvious to anyone that we were together as we were standing together and holding hands talking to each other. After receiving our food the guy says "Have a nice day" and I again answered him, "Thank you" to which he paused and replied Oh, You too sir... He was blatantly flirting with my wife in front of me and I found it extremely rude. She said that when she went there the last time he was overly courteous to her but not the other women in her party.
We decided to never patronize this business again. In this day and age with all of the businesses going out of business due to Covid-19 it is sad that a man has cost his family business the loss of not only myself but also my wife and all of her coworkers who had been regular...
