Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Kearny

I went into today to resolve an issue from last month I placed an online order that got canceled on me , never received and still got charged. I had went through door dash because I tried numerous times to call the store. But they were always busy. So I was put in touch with this woman Crystal and she said she would credit my card over the phone last week. I patiently waited a few days and didn't see the credit. So I called her today and she said to go in to get the refund and she would get me a sandwich on the house for all the trouble. I get there and she had not been there at the time but they got in touch with her to confirm. Andre the gentleman at the front helped me and he gave me the refund and was so sweet. I was going to get other items but he said it was no problem and lunch was on them. After all that I had things finally resolved and he was kind enough to give me my sandwich, drink, chips and a cookie for nothing which was so nice of them! feel bad for jersey mikes as a franchise. the entire staff here has absolutely no idea what they are doing. my girlfriend and i waited approximately 30 minutes for 2 sandwiches. 4 people came and went after us. my girlfriends sandwich was given to someone else by mistake then we had to wait for a new one to be made. following this the girl who made the next sandwich had a breakdown at the grill because she had accidentally used ranch instead of mayo. another sandwich was made and we were finally on our way. the entire time this fiasco was going on the manager whom i believe is playing the role of a female, however isnt fooling anyone as “it” is approximately 6’2 and has the attitude of a oversized baby was more concerned about “its” misunderstanding of the schedule for that night even though they seem to be the one in charge so i would assume they would be the first to be completely aware of it, asked us repeatedly if we paid and what our order was while they continued to either make the wrong sandwich or give the right one to the wrong customer.

Giving it two stars because the food is normally good. I frequent this place often but the last two times that I went the workers there were not friendly at all and acted like they didn’t want to be there. This very last time that I went there today, there was a cashier and she didn’t even say hello. There were no other customers. She then proceeded to go to the table and didn’t even look at me and said hello with a nasty attitude. There were other workers in the back who didn’t even acknowledge that I was there and were glued to their phones. There was one girl that came up and asked me what I like, again, she also didn’t greet me with a welcoming attitude. Honestly, the whole staff needs to either be fired or seriously trained because all of the workers there lately have been totally unprofessional. I’m not sure if the workers are just so unhappy but management needs to handle it before people stop coming because of the terrible attitudes or someone curses them out.
