I think this is a great addition to the neighborhood. The food is ALMOST there but have yet to try everything.
The pros: Service was friendly and accommodating and the food came out fast! Love that families and dogs can join in on the fun. The dill pickle dressing was perfection.
The cons: The Parker House rolls $16 for 4 small rolls that tasted bought in. I think this value is pretty terrible especially because they were not great :/. They forgot the croutons on the salad which I didn't notice until i was done and re-reading the menu. The Pork Collar was cooked perfectly but hated biting into whole peppercorns and hard pieces of inedible lemongrass. The congee is soft so not super great biting into anything hard like that. The "Apple Pie" was not a pie at all and was a crisp instead. It was served lukewarm and was mushy, no crisp topping as expected and they give you, no joke, 1 tablespoon of pumpkin ice cream which is the best part of the dessert.
All in all want to come back for some items to see if those hit it more for me. The food is almost there but was kind of disappointing overall for what I tried. I know this business is brutal and I really love what they...
Read moreFood is very tasty. However not only is there no table service -you order at a counter separate from the distillery, drinks have to be ordered through distillery....(they might bring it out, but not always, and not well times or organized), you are also asked to bus your own table. Which is fine at a fast food restaurant, yet for the cost of the food seemes super weird. Also had to get our own water, napkins and silverware.
The menu is also very limited. There are more entree and side choices for kids than there are for adults, and many of the items listed on the "12 and under PLEASE" were tasty looking. Especially since they were out of one of the THREE (yes only three) entree choices available. The small plates were tasty and small. The person bringing out food seemed annoyed and took our number before we had all of our food, so we had to track the final plate down. For a $30 pork chop this seemed extra. I get it is a new restaurant, and i think their service plan and menu could use some more work. I would appreciate more variety more than anything. That all beinf said the food was delicious, and it was a lovely summer evening to...
Read morePhotos in Seth’s review;) I absolutely love this place! We stopped there for our Burke Gilman bike ride, and they have bike racks!!! I talked to the kind and amiable gentleman who took my order. He turned out to be a local farmer (Shawn from the Tuk Muk farm)! He said he grew organic Asian vegetables because he met his Korean neighbor who missed Korean cabbages and he wanted to bring home to the Asian community. Many items at the restaurant are Asian fusion. Both Seth and l love the food, so I think it works for both American and Asian! The katsu chicken Caesar salad has more katsu chicken than salad. And the Caesar salad isn’t just the boring Caesar salad. No no no. It has bonito, furikake, and pickled daikon! And the katsu chicken isn’t just the boring katsu chicken. It was flavored and had a nice spicy kick. It also was nice that the restaurant is joined with the brewery, so you get to have music, whiskey, and flavorful food all at once; it really was an above and...
