I went for the AYCE lunch, as I had heard rave reviews about it. Boy, what a let down. I really don’t like to leave negative reviews, but do when warranted. I walked in the door and had to ring the bell for service. Not uncommon, but the gentleman who appeared looked at me kind of dumbfounded and asked if he could help me. I said that I had never been there before and I didn’t see any signs referring to waiting for seating of to seat yourself. While being seated I noticed that it wasn’t terribly busy. Once seated, it seemed that I was just an afterthought. I saw wait staff passing by and waiting on the 3 other tables near me, never even acknowledging me. I perused the menu and filled out my card and set it on the edge of the table and sat there, and sat there, and sat there as wait staff passed by. Finally one of them asked if I’d been helped. We exchanged pleasantries, I told him it was my first time there, but was aware of how the AYCE option worked and noted the 3 roll max per order. I ordered ginger salad and 3 rolls, a spicy tuna roll, a tony roll and I can’t remember the last one. The salad was pretty good, but when the rolls arrived they were HUGE! I know some would think that was great, but I prefer that sushi pieces be bite size, as that’s the way it’s been in all my previous experiences. Rolls have always been as big around as an egg roll, and about an inch in length. These were the size of frozen burritos! There was absolutely no way I was going to be able to eat it all. Which had me concerned about the fee for over ordering, which was wasn’t my intention. The amounts of the fillings were outrageous too, like a whole wedge of avocado, and a piece of cream cheese as big around as a string cheese stick. Just WAY too much! Not really pleasant to have to eat a piece of sushi in multiple bites, especially when one of the bites is overpowered with cream cheese. I don’t know if I was there on an off day or what, but with the whole experience from walking in the door, to the waiting, to the ridiculously large pieces of sushi. I doubt I will return. I will give my waiter props as I left 6 pieces behind but he only charged me for 3. My guess is because I commented multiple times on the size...
Read moreI’ve never been to a restaurant that was so quiet and peaceful & Pleasant along with the food being superb. The restaurant And the food is so damn AMAZING. My cousin and I really enjoyed Everything about this place, So much that after we left we kept talking about how Outstanding the Food is and how much we enjoyed the experience with the pleasant atmosphere. My cousin and I went there for lunch around 1:30 in the afternoon and here it is almost 11:00pm at night very late in the evening and he & I are still having this conversation over the phone about Our New Favorite Restaurant to go to Especially with the rest of our Family when their in Town. This is the best place for Sushi or Japanese Food Period. The shrimp Lo mein & the beef Lo mein was 1000% percent better and more Delicious & Flavorful than any Lo mein that I’ve gotten from any Chinese restaurant. The many dishes were so Fantastic and so Flavorful that right there before I could say anything to my cousin, A party had exploded within my mouth with perfection Eliminating any taste or flavor that might have been present. THIS FOOD WAS ALIVE and not in a negative way where one describe food with bugs or a roach and sometimes the occasional mouse or rat being somehow cooked up within your order of Food. But ALIVE POSITIVELY like being at a disco and partying with friends and family and coworkers alive like that. Just allowing this food to Dance doing the Boogie Woogie SAVORING each & every bite not wanting this to end as though I’ve discovered how to have an orgasm within my mouth just from chewing food and Enjoying everything from the preparation. and presentation coupled with every flavor that explodes the moment the chopsticks enter my mouth. The party that my Palate was experiencing was so flamboyant with these Bold than subtle then Bold arrangements that I just knew that what I am experiencing is the Foods of the GODS !’ Earthly deities (gods) that is not our HEAVENLY FATHER !!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS ...
Read moreThe five star rating today came from the volume for the price. At $20 lunch special all you can eat. There were so many options to choose from and if I wanted more I could have but I was so full. You feel like a king with all those plates coming up to your table, lol. The restroom was plain dry with Dragon Ball Z art. Very accommodating, it just looked like I’ve seen it in an old church. Nice plates and utensils with great fast service.
The food comes out relatively fast. The fish taste fresh. There wasn’t one item that I raved about. It was fair. Which reminds me that this five star rating is on sheer volume for price. I didn’t know that whatever you don’t eat you have to pay one dollar a piece which doubled our ticket. If I would have known, I would have ordered differently. Since I feel I’d come back and try some different things then I will just adjust what I ordered. Ultimately my to go box is so packed that I’m not cooking tonight And I have food to share with my partner so the deal is awesome still and it’s even better when I make sure I don’t over order. That’s an OK problem to have. The server could have been a bit better explaining the whole process. Plenty of cafeteria style seating for...
