Mandarin Cafe — Restaurant in Kennesaw

Update: I haven't been in awhile as their dining room wasn't open for a year or two since covid. Went a near a year ago and they seated me in dining room, but I was the only patron, bizarre given there delicious food, all the orders were being picked up by customers. Food and service was great.

Tried again mid June, I called to ensure dining room is open, and they said yes, so we drove to the restaurant. I walked in and asked the guy at the register of the dining room was open as no one was in there, and he said , Yes, but we will serve you on to go plates and boxes. I asked what and he repeated. I said no thank you and left. Why would I want a dining experience of food served on paper plates and foam boxes, I don't even do that at home. I am certain it would include plastic sporks and I don't do that at home or much less hiking and camping.

So we walked out turned right and are eating at the new Japanese restaurant next door.

Why would a business, naah, never mind, damn shame, great food deserves better than foam boxes, paper plates, and plastic forks.

Its difficult to find real traditional vietnamese food in the land of Biscuits and Gravy. I encourage others to try the viet dishes and be exposed to a new realm of flavor.

Price: A buck or two below that of local Kennesaw eateries that serve less quality food....

FREE DESERT.. when's the last time you had that? Not that I could eat it as the portion size is "Americanized" for...

My experience was so-so idk why everytime I order for delivery the driver quizzes me as if I am not the buyer. I'm very busy and am VERY patient but he gets a bit testy. So here's the jist I ordered from GrubHub spent 18 dollars as a prime member EVERY OTHER DRIVER SAYS "thanks have a nice day!" But this specific driver quizzes me as if I didn't order the food if he just asked my name that would've been just a-okay. But he' doesn't he holds the receipt up sternly staring at the receipt grimacing to the bag of food and back at me when I opened the door grasps the bag firmly and asks name...phone number etc. This guy is embarrassing both himself and me when I'm around people like really you would think I went through all of this trouble just to get a quizzed complementary of the driver! unprofessional! You would think if I ordered it from the restaurant and know the answer to the first few questions he would be like okay here's your food NO AND I know it's my food BUT HAVE TO ANSWER ALL OF THESE EXTRA questions EVERYTIME he comes. I don't want to feel like I'm taking A QUIZ everytime I support your establishment I get that enough I'm in college Danke! Alles Klar? this is why I choose NO-CONTACT and still they WILL STAND show themselves quizzing me SIR drop the food off and leave! PLEASEE 'm very very very patient but c'mon this is just very unprofessional I've been ordering GrubHub for years. 7/19/2021 I just ordered something I never tried before tonight I will copy and paste the name of it here. It's tasty too! Bun Xao Stir-fried rice noodles with shredded vegetables, egg and crushed peanuts, served with nuoc cham sauce on the side. I ordered it with tofu, spicy sauce on the side, and a vegetable roll. They're quite tasty!

ordered the vegetable bean curd and it was amazing! I ordered it Hunan style, spicy sauce and it was great! I have a bunch of food intolerances and they made my food so good! It was the perfect mix of spicy without being too spicy, and had great flavor no MSG either. I get severe head and stomach aches if they did, which they do not ❤. They did a great job, I highly recommend this place. I picked out my to go order and it was freshly made with good ingredients, hot and delicious! Will be returning 👏😍❤ Update 7-07-2020 I'm pretty sure their hot and sour soup could cure cancer. It's awesome. Button mushrooms for vitamin D, black mushrooms for immune support, hot chilli's for mucus stagnation, chicken broth for soothing powers , it's wonderful. I'm a vegetarian and I will make exceptions for this soup if I'm feeling not so Swift. Patches me up pretty good ☺️ I recommend it to all.
