I consider myself a frequent guest at Copeland’s Kennesaw whether I’m dining with friends or stopping by for lunch. Copeland’s has always offered world class customer service, I love being treated like family. However, my experience today was definitely unexpected. I ordered lunch with a coworker of mine using the online website, two separate orders were placed. My coworker volunteered to grab the orders. I ordered my usual a loaded baked potato, with extra green onion and sour cream on the side. Normally when extra side items are ordered they’re placed in a separate container outside of the order. The additional condiments that were ordered were literally stuffed in my potato while still inside of the container. That’s very unsanitary and definitely not a good visual to customers. I wasn’t happy, quite disappointed with me only having 30mins for lunch. I immediately called the restaurant to voice my concern as well as request to speak with a supervisor or manager. I spoke with Jason Watson who identified himself as the General Manager, he wasn’t very polite. I tried explaining the issue to him and it seemed to go right over his head, I didn’t appreciate being over talked while trying to explain my complaint. Jason’s response was unacceptable, he voiced to me that my coworker okayed the order before leaving the premises. I explained to him coworker stated she brought the issue to the to-go specialist attention and the specialist response was “ she said condiments on the side “, in which I did request condiments on the side, not the entire condiment container stuffed in my potato. I tried again explaining to him that the presentation was unsanitary and wasn’t to my liking, and also explained that I wasn’t able to return my order seeing that my lunch break was coming to an end. Jason didn’t apologize for the experience, instead he continued to blame my coworker for leaving. I asked if there was away possible for him to deliver a new potato to me as a nice gesture, seeing that my work location is literally two doors down from the restaurant. Jason then asked for my work address in which I did provide, he stated I’ll give you a call back if we can deliver the order. I waited almost 10mins for a call back in which I did not receive, not to mention my lunch was over. I then clocked out from work to drive back to the location to request a full refund. I spoke with the to-go specialist, and requested to speak with Jason. Jason explained we were on our way with potato. I explained to Jason I prefer a refund. I voiced my concern about the experience and again no apology was given for the inconvenience. He explained the refund wasn’t that simple it would take three to five business days for a refund. I agreed that was fine. Again, today has been quite the experience at Copeland’s of Kennesaw! I am paying customer that shops with Copeland’s at least twice a week, not mention I am a member of your loyalty program. I’m sad to say that I’m not sure if I’ll be returning to this particular location based on the customer service I received today. I was caught off guard when Jason explained he was the GM of the location with the lack of professionalism he...

$36.99/pp- Sundays
We arrived about 10 minutes before they opened. There weren't too many that were waiting, so we were optimistic about that.
Seating- As soon as we entered we were greeted and seated. I was not sure if they would seat us right away because our entire party of 10 weren't there immediately, but they did.
Service- Our server was Veronica. She was nice, but not vert attentive in the beginning. To order an omlet, you have to get a menu card from the server. My husband and brother in law asked her about it and she said she would bring one back. It took about 30 minutes and us flagging someone down to get her for her to finally bring one to the table. We couldn't order and alcoholic beverage until 11a because it was Sunday, but she brought me and my sister's mimosas right at 11a, so we did appreciate that.
Buffet- There were sooo many options and everything was well placed and they kept the food coming, so it was very fresh. I have not ate at a buffet in over 10 years, so was pleasantly surprised, at first. After about an hour or so, more people came into the restaurant. When I went to get more food, I noticed the handles were dirty. Almost like people were eating with their hands and then went and touched the handles on the lids. I also hate when people leave the serving utensils in the food. This is no fault of the restaurant, but just something I don't like.
I will say the cheese grits and the dressing was my favorite. Soooo good. The french toast bites were toooo sweet for me.
So, when our check came, we seen there is automatic 18% gratuity. I really hate restaurants forcing us to tip. Especially if the service doesn't warrant the amount.
All in all, we will absolutely return. I definitely feel the food and overall service from the staff as a...
Read moreI scored 3 stars overall because I was told that there is a 20% military discount. I was treating our group because of an achievement for my daughter in college. The bill was $305 and I paid for everyone for showing their support. On the receipt next to the military discount it said $1.60 discount. When I addressed this with the waitress, she said I only get 20% off my own plate. It took a while to get the waitress back to the table to address it, bc she knew it was a problem, so she kept looking at me then going to another table. There are a number of problems with this “my plate thing”: I am on a diet, so my own plate was a Cobb salad that cost less than $12. However, I also order 4 appetizers, which she said did not count, but if the appetizers were ordered by me, why not. If we had known that each meal could be discounted with more military IDs shown, we would have done so, because there were a total of 4 military IDs there. It just doesn’t make since that I am waiting for a military discount to be applied for a $305 meal, when I saw the bill before the discount was applied and it was actually more after the discount was applied, because prior to, it was only $302. 20% off of 305 is about $45. I usually give a great tip, but since the waitress went ahead and applied the 18% gratuity without asking which rate I wanted, I refrained from giving the $100 that I would have given and let the $44 tip stand since that’s how much I felt I was screwed out of anyways. *i hate to sound ungrateful, but it is a big pet peeve of mine to offer a military discount, and then it’s so measly that it’s more like an insult. The Atlanta area/state of Georgia is full of that type of thing. It is best not to even offer one if you have to be...
