On August 25, 2025, Monday's dinner fell extremely short apart from previous Mondays. We don't always dine on Monday, but when we do, we are served by present, attentive, and passionate servers. Other servers, regardless of the time and day, at this establishment have been excellent in ensuring an awesome dining experience - from the time of being seated and greeted to leaving. Un...til we met Esther on Monday (dinner), August 25th, 2025, who gave let-down service. The entire table needed more soup and drink refills. Where was Esther? Having conversations with the hostess at the bar. Someone at our table asked if our server had gone on break. Yes, that's the lengthy time of her absence and disrespect because she laughed and carried on right next to us While unhappy receiving mediocre, unrespectable service from Esther, Kaylah's professional demeanor in communicating clearly and respectfully, showing initiative and treating us and other diners with courtesy and consideration sparked the inner funk. We were out of soup for a while, and we asked Kaylah about bringing us some. Although it was not her responsibility, her response was polite and pleasant. Our experience was not prioritized that particular evening. The three previous dinner (a Sunday or Monday) experiences were braggable, and we invited people each of those times, and every single person had an absolutely wonderful experience (great food, great service, and great vibe), and so we hoped that evening would be like the others, but it was everything but sweet, which is why this review exists. 10/10
Read moreWe came here for a birthday dinner expecting to pay a good bit, we weren't worried about the price point. Party of 6, it's always going to add up. My family loves KPOP but we were looking forward to trying out the hot pot. So we did dinner + hot pot, and honestly if it was good the $35 per person would seem more than reasonable. I have also worked in restaurants before and would never feel the need to complain knowing how harsh those environments are... However.
Service - our server Kaylee B, was not attentive or informative, it was our first time in the establishment and our first time trying hot pot, she barely acknowledged us and definitely did not feel inclined to show us anything more than the tablet and how to add/remove items, then quickly left the tablet on the table and left. No introduction to the selections, not much time to really look over the menu. She came to our table maybe twice, had to ask for refills on our drinks, she did stop by and topped off the nearest cups to her and completely ignored the empty ones out of immediate reach from her. You might think this sounds like she was too busy, but honestly it just really seemed like she didn't care rather than she was having a hard time keeping up.
Food - the selection in my opinion seemed very basic, the layout on the tablet was disorganized and had many repetitive options just in a different category. The BBQ portions seemed smaller, and the quality of the food overall just seemed moderate, not great not good. Overall food experience was just okay, I may be back for the hotpot but genuinely if I want better food there's other options. Not to mention sides and appetizers were on the back wall, small selection and incredibly inconvenient to get up to retrieve sides, appetizers and sauces.
Price - $36 dinner BBQ + Hot pot is not bad, the issue is the $6 small cup of milk tea no refills, the food quality/customer service quality. The experience of putting effort into driving down here, waiting to be sat, paying $36 per person, just for our server to give no effort, putting effort into getting up to go get our sides, appetizers and sauces just does not add up to being worth it.
Again, we expected to splurge and enjoy a birthday dinner, however the experience has left...
Read moreKPOT is finally on my side of town!!! I was so so excited to hear about this place opening up I could not wait to go try it out. I have been to lots of KBBQ and hot pot places, mainly in Doraville and Duluth area so I was really excited to finally have one in Kennesaw.
The location was very nice and spacious. The decorations were cool and the hostess was attentive. I decided to do the hot pot only option and I went for lunch, which was very affordable ($21 per person). Do keep in mind if you go with a friend or a group you all have to pick the same option (all hot pot, all KBBQ or both). But if you had wanted to add KBBQ to the hot pot lunch option it was only $26 (+$5) so still not bad at all. The lunch hours are 12-4 so it gave me plenty of wiggle room to get there for my lunch break.
We sat down and each table has an iPad to order your items off of. I really liked this method as many other restaurants don't do this. It saves time for getting food and cooking, especially if you have a large party because they do have a 2 hour time limit (and enforce it). They also have a great sauce bar!! My friend had visited the Lawrenceville location and he said the Kennesaw sauce bar offered more. We got our sauces, came back and ordered our food. The broths came quickly and the food followed.
I personally ordered the healthy herbs broth and it had a good flavor. I was surprised to see how many options they offered for food!! They had lots of meats, seafood, tons of veggies, tofu and more. The food was great and the service was also great- our waiter, Diante, was very attentive.
At least for a party of two, the 2 hour time limit is plenty of time. We tapped out around 1 hour and were feeling very full. Overall a great experience for the price! (About $52 with tip).
They also offer a birthday special (come within the week of your birthday with 3 other guests and get your meal free) so I will definitely be coming...
