Started off ok. As a former worker I was skeptical to go to this location but they had my graded cards so I didn't really have a choice. Everything went smoothly picked up my cards and then went to look for games under the b2g1 free deal for pro members. We got to the counter to find out one of the games was mispriced and way cheaper than what the price was. I mentioned this to the manager and asked if I could exchange that for the game we put back and then id pay for the cheaper game separately so that i wasn't wasting a good deal. She then started soft-bragging about how she couldn't believe she was the one who had to fire the store I looked over. She then refused to let me switch the games in which I said that it wasn't the customers fault that they didn't do their price changes and that we should be allowed to change a game out if it had the right price. She then said that it was her last day and she didn't care because it was past 7 pm so she technically didn't work for the company anymore. After saying this I replied with "This has nothing to do with us" in which she replied she could refuse the transaction and kick us out if she wanted and we couldn't do anything about it. After that statement she started bragging about how if she wanted to come back to the company she was rehirable unlike us (which had no context) basically trying to get a reaction out of us. In the end after about 6 minutes she took the game that was labeled wrong off and added the replacement game but said she wasn't adding the original game back that I said I'd pay for separately because it was 1.99 instead of what the label said. So now because she has an ego problem I have to come back tomorrow for the other game. Honestly glad that she is no longer going to be with the company. As a customer and someone who worked under her she is...
Read moreI don’t know if I’ll buy Pokémon cards anywhere else. Hannah, the store manager, made the entire experience everything I was hoping for when I decide to start collecting cards with my young son. Him and I went on a Saturday adventure together to find some Pokémon cards expecting it to be a fruitless endeavor. GameStop was the first of four locations I had in mind. We walked in and were warmly greeted by Hannah right away asking how she could help us. I told her we were hunting Pokémon cards to which she enthusiastically replied that she had one more blister pack for us. She informed us that everyone who had open packs in store had a full art card in it. There was a table and two chairs for my son and I to sit at while we opened them. She offered us some penny sleeves, played the classic Pokemon theme song to set the mood and sure enough we pulled our first ever full art card!! Hannah also offered my son a free card from her collection, educated us on the proper way to open packs, and price checked our full art card for us. She educated me on various products that I could consider to introduce my son to the TCG or how to maximize our collecting experience. She told us their store approach to distributing product so that there was opportunity for everyone to enjoy collecting. Additionally, I got my son some Pokémon merchandise that Hannah offered her expertise in selecting. Overall, the quiet atmosphere of the store and the exceptional customer service of Hannah, created exactly the experience I was hoping to share with my son when set out on Saturday and best of all we found it at our first stop!! Highly recommend for new collectors. I also noticed there were several other TCG’s at the store as well as sports cards. We are dabbling in sports cards too and will likely be back to do some sports...
Read moreI start by saying that I regularly visit GameStop in this location. Lawrenceville hwy They are friendly and always asking if everything is okay.
But today I was near this store 2769 Chastain Meadows Pkwy NW #110, Marietta, GA 30066
My son chooses some things and I choose others, there were 5 or 6 people at the register, none of them took the time to ask me anything, my son and I are waiting for a long time until I thought I had had enough of waiting
I decided to leave the store, I left the purchases on the counter, and when I was leaving the manager at that moment a very unpleasant and rude white woman told me to have a nice day, sarcastically and mockingly.
I told her that it was very unpleasant that they kept me waiting for so long, she answered me saying that she was giving training to her employees, that for her was more important than the clients who generated money and paid her salary. I feel very bad for the treatment and sorry because we all deserve good customer service, especially if it comes from...
