I checked this place out on a whim after noticing it while making a quick stop at the nearby Walmart. There have been a lot more ramen places popping up recently so I wasnât really sure what to expect going in, but I love trying new restaurants, so I said, âwhy not?â
After eating here a few times now I can definitely say that this place is probably as close as youâll get to an authentic Japanese ramen place here in Atlanta. The bowls of ramen arenât too complex or overloaded with a ton of toppings, and the price point of being 12.99 or 13.99 per bowl is excellent, especially for the amount of food that you get. One of my favorite things about Shibuya Ramen is the 9.99 lunch special bentos you can get during weekdays, which gives you rice, a protein like karate or beef, and then gyoza or a croquette. And for a few dollars more you can get miso soup and a salad, too.
Beyond the price, the taste of the food is excellent, and the staff are super friendly. It definitely feels like theyâre still finding their stride, but they are already running a great business, and this place is easily my favorite spot to get a bowl of ramen in town. Heavily recommend it. Just keep in mind that youâll be ordering at a kiosk at the front of the store, and that you have to bus your own dishes to a rack near where you can get your water and silverware. As long as you donât mind those little things, youâll definitely enjoy Shibuya Ramen. I really hope their business...

You order from a kiosk here, tip right away, and then basically serve yourself. The waitress brought our food but when I asked for utensils, she just smiled and pointed to the self-service station she had literally just walked past. And when we were done, we had to bus our own table and take everything back to that same station.
I got the Onigiri Salmon and a side salad. The onigiri was okay at first because Iâve been craving it for years, but the rice was a little undercooked and completely blandâno mirin vinegar or salt at all. The salad? Just spring mix with ginger dressing.
We also got the Vegetable Spring Roll. First bite was crunchy, second bite was mushyâit was obviously frozen and just fried. My husbandâs Chicken Teriyaki Rice Bowl had the same problem: undercooked rice and chicken with zero teriyaki flavor.
I ordered the Shibuya Signature Ramen with extra egg. The pork was actually good, but the noodles were undercooked, the broth was bitter and bland, and the âsoft-boiledâ egg I paid extra for was cooked solid all the way through.
To make it worse, the AC was broken, so we were hot through hot ramen in a tiny, stuffy room. We paid $58.44 before the tip (which you have to give at the kiosk before you even get your food), and honestly, it felt like cafeteria food with no service. Definitely...
Read moreI found Shibuya Ramen while looking for a ramen spot open on a snow day, and Iâm so glad I did! I called to check, and they were open⌠Tadaaaaa⌠what a lifesaver. The food was incredible! We got the special ramen, shrimp tempura udon, vegetarian ramen noodles (made with kale!), crispy squid (my sonâs new favorite), and the chicken katsu with Japanese curry. The curry was so good, rich, flavorful, and comforting. Everything we tried was amazing, the egg was perfectly jammy, the charsiu was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the takoyaki is a must.
The owners are the sweetest people. One of them even came by to check in and make sure we were happy. You can tell they put their heart and soul into this place. Itâs such a hardworking, genuine mom-and-pop spot, and thatâs exactly the kind of place we love to support.
The best part? Itâs more affordable than Jinya, so I can come here all the time without feeling guilty. Everyone there is so friendly, and even though itâs technically self-serve, it doesnât feel like it because the team are so helpful and welcoming.
Itâs also super close to Kennesaw State University, and I can totally see this being a fun hangout spot for students. I canât wait to come back, probably tomorrow! Thank you for bringing such an amazing ramen spot to the community. Youâve got a...
