Horrible experience with this company. I had my car towed to Mavis Tires & Brakes located at 2713 Chastain Meadows Parkway in Marietta Georgia on Friday January 26, 2024. Before hand I contacted the store & I spoke with Shelby and I stated I needed brakes for my car, a bulb for the head light & a standard oil change. I came with the tow truck driver. I was quoted the price for the work 1100.00 dollars. I was later contacted by Shelby an was told they needed 309.00 dollars for the calipers. I agreed which bought the charges for the repairs to 1409.00. I called the store on Sunday February 28, 2024 and spoke with Tim and I told him that my brakes were making a whistling sound and that I needed to bring my car back to them. Tim told me that they did not have a mechanic and I could take my car to any Mavis location. On Monday February 5, 2024 my car ran hot and I saw fluids leaking from the radiator. Prior to bringing my car to Mavis my car was not running hot or leaking any fluids. I contacted Corporate & spoke with the regional manager Zachery. The regional manager had my car towed to another Mavis location. I contacted the store 2 days later for the status of MY CAR. I was told by the assistant manager Sir that patch work was done on my car and he needed further instructions from Zachery as how to proceed. I never received word again from anyone else including Corporate. My car essentially just sat until I had my car towed back to me on Monday February 12, 2024. I was charged for work I did not authorize such as wind shield wipers 25.00 & Brake System flush 99.99 & Power Steering flush 79.00. As of this writing my lost has been substantial 1409.00 & a car that is inoperable. I just wanted my car repaired for the money that was paid to this repair shop which should be refunded. Read moreGot an alignment and four new tires in January. Immediately after and even now the tire light will not turn off. Felt like the vehicle was pulling a little to the left but I figured hey, I'm not a tire expert or anything. Figured maybe it would correct. In May, I noticed the inside of one tire and the outside of the other was losing serious tread. I went to the business and spoke with a manager named Chris. He looked at my tires and my receipt and asked me if I could come back the following week. The following Tuesday I returned and spoke with him again. He looked at my tires and paperwork and contacted his "tire warranty guy". Told me he was waiting on a return call and that he would contact me. After three weeks of no call, I went back to the store and spoke with a female manager explaining the situation. One of the other younger male managers there told me I must have hit a pothole and knocked it out of alignment. I explained that I had not but he continued to use a sarcastic tone inferring that I was either lying or mistaken. The manager then told me she could replace the tires and alignment but I would have to pay for a portion of it. I refused and requested to speak to someone higher. She gave me a customer service number of which I called and left a message with no return call. That was about a month ago. At this point, I would rather go buy four new tires and an alignment than to spend another dime at a business that took my money without doing the job I paid them for and refused to own up to their mistakes. Be very wary of spending your money here because if they do make a mistake, you will foot the...
Read moreI had a pretty good experience at this location when I needed my rear brake pads and rotors replaced due to loud and embarrassing grinding sounds. I’d actually had them replaced just a few months before by a private mechanic, but at Mavis, Mike (the mechanic) made me aware that they needed replacing again so soon because the previous mechanic had only bothered to replace the rotors but had left the old, worn down brake pads on, smh!! So crazy! So I’m very thankful to now have them as a place where I can get work like that done affordably, as well, but correctly and safely The First Time.
Everyone’s kind and professional. The vehicle technicians that assisted me were Mike and Alvin, and Steven was my service advisor. They’re all great people, good guys, and work with high integrity, while making customers feel valued and appreciated! And they take the time to thoroughly explain anything that you don’t fully understand, as opposed to trying to capitalize on your lack of knowledge.
And as I’ve had pretty good, high integrity, competitively priced experiences at other Mavis Tires & Brakes locations, as well, I’d say you can expect good and honest service at most any of their locations! It definitely seems to be a pretty solid company. And the employees seem to feel that they are respected and treated well by the...
