Our favorite Mexican restaurant in Palm Harbor that had a buffet closed a while back, and we've been sad since that time. However, we're able to celebrate once more! Don't let this little unassuming place fool you. I've lived here for a while, driven past this place hundreds of times and never stopped, until today. I've missed out.
All the meats you need such as ribs, carnitas, ground beef, shredded chicken, and more are available at your disposal. You want to load it into a hard taco shell? No problem. Pile it onto fresh chips and make nachos? You're covered. Complete with all the toppings. I personally like to leave a flour tortilla at the bottom to catch everything and clean up when I'm done. There's other items such as chimichangas, menudo, rice, refried beans, black beans, salsas, and more. Last thing, queso. You like to top your (insert whatever here - chips/taco/burrito/fingers) in queso, right?! There's a vat of it. You literally just help yourself.
Of course they've got beer and liquor to wash it all down with. Give it a try!
UPDATED 6-5-22 Came back and everything was still good! Seemed like they had a few different selections. The tamales were on point! I put salsa verde on them to set them off! Definitely give this place a try. The prices have gone up to $17.99 per person so it's a little steep, but it's worth the treat every now and again. It's cheaper through the...
Read moreI'm going to start off with-I don't like buffets and I'm not a huge fan of Mexican food, but I was willing to try it. That being said, I would go back to this place in an instant! The restaurant was spotless including everything on the buffet. There is tons of seating inside and it's very colorful and bright. Our waitress was lovely. She attended to us immediately and checked on us constantly throughout us eating, making sure that we had refills and taking plates. All of the food was very good. There is a good selection of fried and non-fried food as well as things for vegetarians and things for meat eaters. Some of the standouts were the chicken tinga, the pork, and the chimichangas. We had Mexican soda and Horchata that was fantastic! There are four small buffets with a huge variety of food to choose from and they were constantly replacing the food. There was also not a large amount of food in each section which means it was coming out fresh instead of just sitting on the buffet being uneaten. Overall, this was a great experience and we would definitely...
Read moreHorrible! They didn't have anything that we wanted from their menu in stock. We finally decided on something else that we didn't really want but were hungry. From our table we saw what appeared to be a salsa bar so we asked if they had a salsa bar while pointing at what looked like a salsa bar and the server said, "yes." We went to get some salsa from the salsa bar and they had ONE kind of salsa! That is not a salsa bar! Even the sodas we ordered (they didn't have the one's we wanted in stock so we settled for something else there, too), were not what we ordered! We changed our minds and decided starving or not, so far everything was so bad we did not want to eat there. So we told her to forget the whole thing, we'd pay for our sodas and we were leaving. She charged us over $20! We paid for two chips that we didn't even touch nor ask for and the sodas which were not the ones we ordered but a different flavor! We paid and told her that is the last time they would get a dime out of us. Absolutely horrible customer service! We will never go...
