JI IN Korean Eatery — Restaurant in Kennett Square

This place gets one star simply for very poor service and unprofessionalism. My wife and I walk up to the counter, take a photo of the QRC code, and wait for someone to respond to us. Three people working behind the counter and not one of them looks at us nor do they engage us while we were there. Total time may have been 6 minutes. After viewing the menu on our phones, we wait, expecting someone to finish to take our order or provide us some direction as to how to order - nothing. One male and a female working behind the counter had to be within five feet of us. A customer walks up to the front area of the counter and the lady working there immediately greets him with I will be with you in one moment. My wife and I look at each other. I state to my wife that we will give them two minutes to engage us and if not we are leaving. The lady finishes what she is doing and starts to take the gentleman's order. At that point we leave. We won't be back. Delaware has two amazing Korean restaurants both on Kirkwood highway that make great food and have amazing service. I really hope this place does well because I love Korean BBQ! But when I pay 17 dollars for the Bulgogi I would at the very least expect my food to be hot and for there to be more then, not an exaggeration, seven small pieces of cold meat. We came right at 5 when they opened so very shocked to have gotten cold food. Flavor of everything was very nice but having meat and egg that tasted like it was already cooked and just sitting out unfortunately undermines any other type of positive critique. Thank you!

Very disappointing.. my husband and I drove here and waited for over 15 minutes and still no one is at the counter. Sign says open yet there is no one in sight. I would not recommend this restaurant. Update your hours, answer your phone, or at least have a sign saying you’re closed if you’re closed. The other restaurants in this market said they were open- not sure what happened here but they lost our service.

Edit to answer the owners question about date and time. We were just there today 2/9/25 at 3 pm. My husband called a few times. I called and left a voice message.
