This place is probably the worst "Mexican" restaurant I've ever been to. As a fellow Mexican, I like my tacos cooked well and seasoned well. The meat on the menu tell you nothing besides that they offer chicken, beef, and pork. Why not list carne asada, tacos al pastor, pollo rostisado etc? The "pork" tacos I guess were supposed to be some sort of "al pastor" but honestly tasted like dried unseasoned meat. The beef, which I supposed are supposed to be "carne asada" had even less flavoring than the "pork" tacos. The beef & pork both tasted like they weren't cooked well and unseasoned. The tortillas tasted dried despite the fact that use plenty of oil to heat them up. I should have none better not to order from them when I saw the crunchy taco shells, that alone should have been a warning sign. We returned the tacos after explaining to the lady that these were horrible, she didn't say a word and provided a refund. We will never eat there again, the only reason why we even stopped there was because it was the only Mexican restaurant open...
Read moreI live next to Michoacana Grill and order food from them all the time. I've lived next to them for a long time, and their menu has changed very little. But that is a good thing, because their menu works! If you like fish, the fish tacos are incredible! I usually get the chicken tacos, though, because I can get 4 chicken tacos cheaper than the three fish tacos you get. I'm sure you can add more to your order.
The portions are incredible, and you don't have to worry about going home hungry. If you like pico and corn salsa, ask them to drain them well. Sometimes, when they are busy, they don't drain them well, and my tortillas are very wet. Since I've asked them to do that, my food has been consistently great!
My only suggestion is to have a working customer loyalty program. I've been going there for many years and fairly often, and I haven't gotten one free taco/burrito... Highly recommend this place. I recommend it to people I know...
Read moreOrdered her for a second time. First time wasn't great, but figured it could've been an off day and thought a second chance was owed. Not going back again. Pork was dry and rubbery and the rice was nearly inedible on my burrito (they also neglected to add cheese). Guac and pico for the chips were great. The beef tacos I order for kids, might've been beef, but was off in color and tasted more like chicken to me (they didn't eat them). My wife's chicken burrito looked great, but was so loaded with jalapenos it was unpleasant to eat (also there was no sour cream or cheese as requested). Come to also find out my wife is having an allergic reaction from cross contamination with seafood. And yes it was from eating there, I cook all of the food and do not buy any kind of seafood because of the allergy. I would not recommend them at all and will be trying another Mexican place next time we feel the need for...
