The service was fast, the woman serving the food professional, courteous, and spoke English well. This is in a food truck court, with a vibrant atmosphere. The food was fresh. I ordered vegetable rolls, they were perfect, and full of flavor, however, the Thai Basil - tofu dish I ordered, was probably the worst Thai Basil I ever tasted, I only ate it because I was hungry. The tofu was soggy, and soft, and truly horrible. I've been to thousands of Thai restaurants around the country, I am a trucker, not once have I ever been served, unprepared soggy tofu in Thai food. It has always been cooked nicely, and fried well. The vegetables and rice were prepared good, but there wasn't enough sauce with the vegetables. This dish is typically full of flavor with plenty of sauce, but here it was rather dry, and literally only one piece of Asian basil in it, whereas normally there are lots of basil leaves in this dish, and I couldn't eat all the rice without the sauce. In addition, I have never eaten baby corn, in a Thai restaurant before, such a horrible cheap filler, this dish is normally loaded with all kinds of bell peppers, and onions, with plenty of Basil filled, tasty sauce. It almost felt like this was Thai food, made by Chinese people, who don't really know how to make it right. In addition, the food needs a bit more flavor, it was a bit bland for Thai basil. I hope they improve the way they prepare their tofu, and add more sauce to their Thai Basil dish from now on. If they reply to my message and let me know that they have improved the recipe, I will try again, because the food was fresh, and the service was good, otherwise I will not eat...
Read moreWe were excited to try this at the Hub, but unfortunately our experience didn't correlate with the positive reviews. it was not the best Thai food.. It's priced the same as a sit-down restaurant, if not more for certain menu items, but it's a food truck. We waited at least 30 minutes for our food, granted it seemed very busy in general at the Hub, so perhaps this is typical. We ordered mild and when we opened the box it's like a tablespoon of red pepper/chili flakes were dumped over the top. Never have I seen Thai food served that way, not in the US, not in Thailand. It was so incredibly spicy it was hard to taste anything else, eyes were watering. We ordered pad thai with chicken and there were 3 little tidbits of chicken at the bottom of the bowl of super greasy ultra-sweet noodles covered copiously in chili flakes. Left with heartburn. I gave 2 stars because the staff was friendly enough and they put a fresh lime...
Read moreOur family was on the hunt for good Asian food after a sporting event and didn’t see anything that looked good. My husband, daughter and I searched on Yelp to find something and stumbled on Buriram Bites, located within a food court/food truck area.
Lots of stuff was going on, but here’ my take on the experience:
Pros • Variety of options to choose from • Allergy food friendly, my family include peanut and shellfish allergies • Customer service was pleasant and patient • Food was fresh and well-cooked • Portion sizes were good, which we ordered a bit more than needed however the take-out containers were perfect to do so
Cons • None at this time.
Overall Experience For a food truck eating experience, it was pleasantly good. It was family-friendly which is #1 important and everyone ordered something they wanted and...
