Jackalope Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Kennewick

This review is because of the waitress, Willow. I understand that it was a busy Friday night, but I had never received worse service. We walked in and waited for about 15 minutes at our table before deciding to approach the bar to order instead. Over the next 10 minutes we checked with the bar twice for our drinks before they were finally brought to our table, and we immediately order another round which we received promptly. We were invisible after that for over 30 minutes. Our waitress, Willow, was sitting and talking to people at other tables and didn’t even notice us, a table of 6 girls. We decided to leave and wanted to split our check, but since they had our friend’s credit card, who had ordered the first round, she was charged for everything. As a group we decided to split it evenly and we gathered our cards, which I took to the bar and asked the waitress to split the bill. I commented about how we waited for over 30 minutes, and instead of apologizing she made took a harsh tone with me explaining her excuses and refused to split the check saying “they were busy and that I could leave because my friend Spencer had already paid for it”. I was shocked with her response but I went back to our table and we began splitting the check ourselves. Just as we were about done, Willow came and asked if we would like to split the check after all. My automatic response was, “are you serious? You basically just said no at the bar.” Her response was, you’re being rude and you’re attacking me” and “you have a minute to leave before the cops arrive.” Mind you I was completely sober at this time because we couldn’t get drinks in the first place because of the lack of service, and other than voicing my frustrations was absolutely compliant with her requests. This place just opened!! This newly remodeled version of the former “Espos” is a win!

Did someone say darts?! Yes, they still have darts!

The local owners are Veterans of the food and bar world. They have done a great job revitalizing this place with paint and decor.

Service is great! Drinks are great and management is great! Some of the help is “new” but that’ll work itself out!!

We went, for the first time, when they had outside seating only, and the service was awesome! We went back a couple weeks ago, remembering how great the service was, but I was very disappointed. We were treated as though we had invisible suits on. So much so, I put a $20 bill on the end of my table, thinking it would help intice at least one of the waitresses, but it didn't work. One of the waitresses had a table of guys she was sitting with and running drinks for. And another waitress was entertaining...
