Title: Disappointed with the Orange Chicken
I recently had the opportunity to visit China Cafe Express, and while the staff was friendly and the premises were impeccably clean, I was quite disappointed with the quality of the orange chicken. Unfortunately, my experience with this particular dish left much to be desired.
First, let me highlight the positive aspects of my visit. The staff members at China Cafe Express were kind and attentive throughout my time there. They were quick to attend to my needs and created a pleasant atmosphere for me to enjoy my meal. Furthermore, I must commend the establishment for their commitment to cleanliness. The place was spotless and well-maintained, which enhanced my overall dining experience.
However, my disappointment arose when I tasted the orange chicken. It was evident that the dish had not lived up to my expectations. The chicken itself was disappointingly soggy and chewy, almost as if it had been reheated in a microwave after being stored for several days. The texture was far from being satisfactory and lacked the freshness that I had anticipated. Additionally, the flavor of the orange chicken was noticeably off. It lacked the authentic taste and balance of sweet and tangy flavors that I have come to expect from this dish.
As a customer who appreciates well-prepared Chinese cuisine, I was genuinely disheartened by the quality of China Cafe Express' orange chicken. Despite the excellent service and pristine environment, the subpar taste and texture of this dish greatly affected my overall dining experience.
I would like to note that I am merely expressing my personal experience and acknowledging that others may have different preferences. Perhaps, on a different visit, I may find other dishes at China Cafe Express that live up to my expectations. Nevertheless, based on my encounter with the orange chicken, I cannot confidently recommend it to others.
In conclusion, although the staff at China Cafe Express were friendly and attentive, and the establishment was impeccably clean, the orange chicken fell short in terms of texture and flavor. I hope that the management takes this feedback into consideration to improve the quality of their dishes...
Read moreI am blown away by the amount of positive reviews. Yes, the service was great. Yes, the place was clean.. But the food. Awful. Just so bland and tasted like there was absolutely no seasoning on top of finding that the sesame chicken was gray. GRAY!! I wish I had taken a photo because my stomach turned to knots as soon as I broke open that piece of chicken to find it, not white, not pink, but gray. I waited a day to confirm that we definitely were feeling ill because of our experience. It really is a shame because when they used to be open on 395, the food was delicious. Such a disappointment. I’m hoping it was just an off day. Seemed that the lack of food consumed by other patrons should have been a huge indicator not to eat here. Hope the owner takes the time to reflect on this review and...
Read moreI was extremely impressed by the cleanliness and simplicity of the restaurant. We ordered the Egg Flower Soup and the China Chef combo for 2. Our total was about $45. Some of the food was very good while some was exceptionally bad. The Egg Flower was the most salty I have ever eaten and had a disappointing amount of egg. The fried wonton and egg roll were good. The Almond Chicken Chow Mein and the fried shrimp were very good. The sweet and sour pork was actually breaded chunks of charcoal, hands down the most unpleasant sweet and sour dish I have ever eaten. The fried rice was salty and boring. Overall we are disappointed. We will not be returning to...
