Service was āļø Kare kare āļøāļø Lechon Kawali āļøāļøāļø Caldereta āļøāļø Atmosphere āļøāļø typical filipino ambiance (staff don’t have uniform, hairnets, and nameplate)

I am not giving comment on the taste of food. It’s all okay, giving it āļøāļøāļø I am giving highlight on SERVICE. āļø

The nice guy at the counter was all smile. I loved that. He answered us nicely. 😊 The cook in long hair with no hairnet is okay at least she answered our questions. But this lady (hair bun, short lady, look like on her 50’s) was soooooo rude….. SO RUDE! REALLY RUDE! Nakakalungkot. I didnt get her name since you dont have a name plate or uniform but this has to be addressed. Filipinos are known to be nice and respectful. Pinoy tayo. We asked politely if we can order sisig ā€œate pede po umorder ng sisigā€ and her answer with rolling eyes ā€œwalang sisigā€ sounded arrogant and ā€œpadabogā€ giving us attitude. We kept quiet. I was dining with my husband and my in laws and that’s why I didn’t complain but please….. do not display attitude po ate, it is not necessary especially we talked to you very politely. Di naman bastos approach namin sayo. I am giving my fair share of comments, filipino po tayo, wag naman po ganun and I want to promote our very own but if your service will be just like that, I don’t think it will be a good idea. We dined yesterday, May 1, 2024. I am not sure if she is the owner or what all I know is we didn’t get the warmest service every customer deserves. Very sad. Nakakalungkot lang. Not recommended. I would rather check on Mekeni at Renton when it comes to food taste and service while Seafood City at least di sila ganyan ka arrogante. Soooo disappointed! Let’s treat all customers equally mapa pinoy...

My wife a Filipina who is a great cook and I agree that this is the tastiest Filipino food we have had in the Seattle region in the last ten years. The pictures show kare-kare, which is an oxtail and beef flank soup with green beans and egg plant in a peanut sauce. The pancit (noodles) has chicken, shrimp and pork with no charge for the extra ingredients. We ordered a regular size, not family size and look how big the portion is! We couldn't eat it all in one meal. We also had mungo (I think it has pork) with mung beans and bok choy in a meat sauce. Masarap! the Spanish bread is a treat to my wife, rolled with margarine and a tiny bit of sugar, not sweet enough to be a dessert. Again, the portions were HUGE. It is a long drive from our house, but we have made it a few times, coupled with another entertaining event south of Seattle, this time a visit to the new IKEA. Only four stars since it took a long, long time for us and others to get the food. Maybe next time we will call ahead. Oh and of course, halo halo for dessert!

October 7th, 2013 update. We got beef caldereta and pork skewers to go.They both have rice. Likewise two beautiful bangnus with plenty of rice. Also some cheese filled pan de sal. I had some Colorado and part of a pork skewer for dinner. Both were quite good. They're really generous with the rice. The mango salsa is a classic butt. Not familiar to me. It was good. We also bought casava which I have not tasted yet. Since it was take out I cannot really speak to the service or atmosphere. It was pretty quiet in the late afternoon....

From what we tried, their food is delicious. The service is very hit and miss though. We went there two times now, both for lunch.

First time experience was fantastic. We ordered, we got told they were out of Laing, chose a different dish, we got the food quite fast, it was all delicious, we got the bill, paid, and left happy.

Second time we came back, bringing some more family. We sat down, the table was rather wobbly. We ordered, we got the Lumpia... and waited. Slowly our dishes arrived, maybe 5-10 minutes apart... and then after half of them arrived they just stopped. We waited more and more, and after 45 minutes we flagged down the hostess, who went to go check on it. She came back and informed us they were out of both Sisig and Laing (again), and the other two dishes we had they basically never even got started on... So we decided to cut our losses and cancel the rest of it and head to McDonalds across the street. They also charged us 18% gratuity because we had 7 people... but we had very little service. We refilled our own water, got our own napkins, and no one checked on us until we went up and asked for help. Would not have given gratuity if I had the chance.

So honestly, the food is great, prices are low, and portions are good. However, the service is 50:50, literally. The first time was exceptional, the second was a deterrent for us to...

After a race, my friends and I were completely wiped out and starving. We needed something filling and comforting, and Filcuisine hit the spot. As soon as we walked in, we felt really welcomed. The staff was super friendly, and our server took the time to walk us through the menu, including a few things that weren’t listed, which was a nice touch. I went with the sizzling sisig bowl, and wow! The portion was huge, and it was packed with flavor. Crispy, savory, and just really satisfying. I also ordered the chicken lumpia, which I’d been craving for months. It was exactly what I hoped for: golden, crispy, and full of flavor. One of my friends got pancit for the table and also ordered the lechon. The pancit was really flavorful and well seasoned, and the lechon had that perfect crunch on the outside but was still juicy inside. We were all seriously impressed. Before we left, I noticed how quickly the pan de coco was selling, so I grabbed a pack to take home, and I’m glad I did. It was soft, slightly sweet, and I bet it will pair well with coffee tomorow! Overall, everything about the experience was great: good food, great service, and a really welcoming vibe. I will definitely be back.
