I looked for a church for quite a while before I found Kent United Methodist. What struck me first was how warm and welcoming everyone was.Then I saw the Children's Time and realized there was a nice mix of younger families as well as older folks. Listening and looking at the bulletin boards, I saw this church was actively involved in the community and in the world...they truly had a heart for service which was important to me. I was blown away by the music...the organ and the choir were wonderful! The sermons hit me with things I needed to hear. And above all, I was accepted for who I was and where I was on my faith journey. There was no lecturing ,no telling me what I had to believe, just acceptance and love. This place is a horrible Place whoever they have answering the phone to do intakes for rental assistance is very very rude and refuses to allow you to speak to a supervisor or anybody else higher up than her in order to see if there is anything that I can do to help you and your family out and then hangs up in your face when you expressed to her that you would like to speak to for supervisor and that she is not allowed to refuse that to you if she's not capable of answering the questions that you have for this to be a church that claims that they love of God supposedly doing his work the way that I was treated today when I called was just a big disappointment can I don't believe that God would put a restriction on an area where you live in order to...

Friendly and truly inspiring. Enthusiasm and joy fill the atmosphere. The music is outstanding with full choir, organ and pianio. There is every attempt to greet and meet new visitors. The. Sermons by Rev. Jim are filled with many exciting words, actions and variety of ideas and thoughts for the whole week to follow. Our Grandchildren enjoy the Sunday School and snacks in felliwship hall. Today was Pentecost. Church was all decorated with variety of colored baloons....
