Food quality is not consistent. Some times the food is freshly cooked, and freshly served, you feel so good , and proud . You want to bring your family & friends here. But sometimes you get to be on the lucky time and you end up with old food that is warmed, then you realized that the food just got served to you has been previously cooked, and is old food, and is just warmed , it is edible, but does not have the aroma of the freshly cooked food, Nor does it have the consistency of the heat throughout the dish, some parts of the dish are boiling hot, and some parts are so cold, and clumped together, then you get that disappointing feeling, I am paying full price, plus tip, and I was expecting freshly cooked meal , instead I got old food that is warmed to look, and to feel like fresh food but it does not taste fresh.. But then you weigh your options. 1. Do you get in a dispute with the owner( because they will argue with you, for many reasons) 2. Swallow your disappointing food experience, and pay & exit peacefully, and promise your self you will not come here again Unless you are prepared mentally (I am going to eat whatever ). So you think to your self , if the restaurant misrepresented their food quality, and cut corners, what else did they cut corners on. ( Did they cut corners on their hygiene, spoiled food, or spoiled ingredients , etc...) After several dining experiences at this restaurant, this is my honest opinion. Eat here without high expectations of good quality freshly cooked food. But they are polite, and courteous They got 3 stars for the mixed results of good & bad experiences...
Read moreI was in the area at 9pm looking for food that was open a little later, and i was pretty pleased to find this Indian spot. This resturant was about 45 mins from closing, but there was still some tables with people there so that was already a good sign the food was going to be good! I can say that the service was fantastic, with the server being very bubbly, pleasant, and patient for our first time there & being so close to closing.
The quantity was definitely very worth it and the quality is up there as well. For the price, you definitely get a great serving size. I really recommend trying the seafood curry, it is a little more expensive as a dish, but it is totally worth the price! The flavors are very well balanced, and it has a unique take on Indian curry as I've never had it with seafood before. A good mix of creamy, spicy, "seafood-y" and a faint sweetness that compliments the overall flavor. I tried the chicken tikka tandori but i was a little disappointed as the chicken was slightly overcooked and just a little bland, but overall still above average! Given that the dish comes out on a sizzling platter, I should probably have immediately taken the chicken off the heat but it was still delicious! I'd love to come back and check out the rest...
Read moreThe food here is wonderful. We always choose the dinner for two which increased $10 during Covid. We visit once every two months just because the food is rich and has the best naan. We visited on the last day of Ramadan and all tables were full except for 3 tables. The service needs improvements as always. I have to remind them to bring the raita, and last visit is was something else. Don't know why the wait staff can't remember to serve food to correct tables nor remember what we order. It happens each time. The owner usually serves alongside the one waiter. They have a hard time bringing you the bill so you wait a while or remind them. But why the rating was a two when it should be a 4, because of the delicious food, is because of the conditions that encompass a restaurant. The bathroom was out of soap, the walls had very disgusting brown swipes on the walls, and the white toilet had black crud on the base. The windows had dead bugs, and the table blades had dark nasty stains. Just awful. Tables that were open still had plates on them so we couldn't sit till they were cleaned. The owner is a nice guy. I have been eating here since 2013 and followed them to their new location too. Just...
