Mazar Cuisine in Kent is truly a one-of-a-kind restaurant that deserves more than just 5 stars. From the moment you step inside, you are greeted with warmth, smiles, and the aroma of authentic Afghan cuisine that instantly makes you feel at home. The food? Absolutely phenomenal. Every dish is crafted with care, bursting with rich flavors and authentic spices. The kabobs are tender and juicy, the mantu melts in your mouth, and the qabuli palaw is simply world-class. Portions are generous, presentation is beautiful, and the taste is unforgettable. The owner is just as outstanding as the food. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure you’re comfortable and well taken care of. It’s rare to find a place where hospitality and quality come together so perfectly. If you’re in Kent and want an unforgettable dining experience, Mazar Cuisine is THE place to go. It’s more than just a restaurant – it’s a cultural journey and a celebration of Afghan flavors

We arrived about 30 minutes before closing, and despite the late hour, the staff welcomed us with such warmth and hospitality. They started us off with a calming cup of herbal tea, which was the perfect way to settle in before the food arrived. Coming from Atlanta, we’re familiar with good halal food, but this was by far the most delicious Afghan cuisine we’ve had in Seattle. The Kabuli Pulao came with a generous, fall-off-the-bone tender lamb chop that was incredibly flavorful. The Chapli Kabob was a standout—savory with a hint of sweetness, tangy, and perfectly spiced. We also had the lamb curry, which was melt-in-your-mouth soft and rich with phenomenal flavor. Every dish was clearly made with care, and the entire experience—from the food to the service—was exceptional. Super family friendly, amazing owner!!!

Not the best restaurant to go to in this area, especially if for families. The place had a bunch of adult males hanging out in the back, who side eyed anyone they didn't recognize. The server was very kind, but left in the middle of our order. Granted he did go to help someone carry some food delivery inside, but at least excuse yourself instead of just abruptly walking away. The food was also sub-par at best. The pita bread was rock hard and almost impossible to chew. Would not recommend.

Restaurant Review: Mazar Cuisine

Mazar Cuisine is hands down one of the best Afghan restaurants we've ever been to. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with warm hospitality and a welcoming atmosphere that feels just like home.

The food is absolutely exceptional. The highlight for us is always the qabuli palaw, which is perfectly cooked with tender meat, fragrant rice, and the right blend of spices—an absolute must-try! Every dish we’ve tried has been fresh, flavorful, and authentic, capturing the essence of Afghan cuisine.

The service is equally amazing. Sayeed, in particular, stands out as one of the kindest and most attentive people you could ever meet. He ensures that every visit is memorable and makes you feel like a valued guest.

Despite living an hour away in Lynnwood, my friends and I happily make the drive to dine here because the experience is worth every mile. Mazar Cuisine is truly a gem, and I can’t recommend it enough to anyone looking for delicious Afghan food and outstanding service!

Go try this place anytime you’re in or around Kent and you will be so grateful you did! The food is delish - we tried the chicken kebab, lamb kebab, the chapli and the samosas, and they were all high quality, flavorful and well cooked. The food truly seems like a labor of love because you can tell everything is made in a homemade fashion. The samosas, for instance, reminded me of Pakistan — something I have NEVER had in the several years I’ve been in the US and elsewhere. Also, ask for the green chutney because that’s divine. For dessert, the Russ malai is off the charts. They serve free tea which is very generous and the prices are overall very reasonable. The owner Syed treated us with a lot of care and respect and we had a great time chatting with him. I really wish this place was closer to Seattle so we could go more often but we’ll definitely come back anytime it’s on our way. I hope the place thrives! We were starving after a hike in rainier so I have no photos to share but I’d highly...
