First... it begins with the broth. Beef bones simmered for hours. You can't rush perfection. Second... you have to have great service. Friendly, personable staff that takes the time to get to know their customers. Third... value. Quality ingredients that combine to create deep, rich flavors and all at a fair price. Well... This place has it all. Every time I came in here with my two small children they would bring two small bowls and a pair of scissors because I requested that on our first visit. No onions or vegetables of any kind ever found their way into my kids bowls. We didn't even need a menu, they knew what we wanted. Now my kids are teenagers and the same wonderful ladies greet us and know how my kid's tastes have matured. Now they bring a menu because they want to try new things and expand their horizons. Everything here is delicious. But I most often come for what has become comfort food to me. Their pho is the best I have ever had anywhere. And I have...

Pho*k'n cook don your mask! I was greatly disappointed by the laxity in observing CDC guidelines at this establishment. Three times I requested that the cook wear his mask as I observed he was preparing meals without one...the cook ignored my messages conveyed each time through the host. "Fine", I commented. "It is the 1st day restaurants are allowed to re-open and your cook is ruining that experience for all of us by clearly defying the law." The host was apologetic but I insisted saying it was the last time, and that if the cook did not don his mask, I was going to cancel my takeout order & would have no choice but to file a complaint with the King County health department. At this point, the host stepped into the kitchen, spoke to the cook who finally donned his mask. The odd thing about this experience is that there are placards and signs visibly posted in the cafe about requirements for observing the guidelines for social distancing and...

I've been to this restaurant four to five times however I'm unpleased with the handling of the last (and mark my words) time I ate here. I ordered their regular chicken Pho with an egg on the side and while eating my food, there was maybe three other people in the restaurant. I was there with a friend and naturally we were talking, like anyone would when they go out to eat. It's a nice place and had been of good service up until this point. My friend and I noticably started hearing the music get a little louder over our table after there was laughter from those running the restaurant. I felt unwelcomed at that point because that tells me you don't want to hear voices when eating. However I've witnessed many people of their same race sitting in the same area we chose to sit in, talking really loud with the music being subtle. Needless to say I left them no tip and I won't be coming back. Too bad their food was good even for the...

Updated 03/26/2024 I like this place, but there are a few things here. I see the price has increased and portion size looks smaller. Also, the condiments are not clean, and unorganized. Tons of chopsticks are warped. I wish they used bamboo chopsticks it's more sanitized. These plastic ones are facing down with the tips touching the bottom - just feel not clean. ======= Pho To Chau is a family-owned restaurant tucked inside the Great Wall building, and it serves the best Vietnamese food. The service provided by the family members is outstanding. I usually order the pho combination, hot tea, and an iced coffee. My family would order the vermicelli dish with grilled pork and shrimp served with the tasty fishy sauce. What else? Well, the food comes out hot and fast. If you're new to the area, try the meatball and steak pho. It is simple and delicious.

Clean environment, good service. Unfortunately the food is mediocre and price is expensive, even when compared to similar Pho restaurants in Bellevue. I ordered one of their "speciality", Bun Bo Hue, which is essentially a modified version of the classic Vietnamese noodle soup with pig foot, pig's blood, and other rare meat items reserved only for the adventurous food hunters. The quality of the meat is below average, and the taste of the broth is bad. I can tell the majority of the flavor comes from salt, pepper and MSG. Other pho restaurants in the region have much better pho, with more reasonable price.

First time going to this place and I was not too impressed. Prices are higher than normal and I wanted rare steak and I did not get that and got cooked steak. Broth wasn't too bad but such a high price for a very small bowl of pho that didn't satisfy?basil and limes had brown spots on them too and didn't seem fresh at all. However the ambiance of the place was exceptional and it was large with lots of room and beautiful what looked like hand painted walls! Very pretty 🙃
