Enlightenment Coffee — Restaurant in Kentucky

My family and I on May 26, 2025 came here to try coffee after our Ark Encounter trip and they had good coffee. I liked how it didn't have that dark roast flavor which I'm not a fan of. I think though it's because I got a sweet Cinnamon Roll latte. Anyway the rest of my family got some Mocha lattes, Iced coffee, and Chai latte and everyone like their drinks so that's why I am giving it 5 stars because, of the drinks that we got today which were three different kinds of drinks but despite have different choices one wasn't worse than another they were equally good. I recommend stopping here if you get the chance too. So for the interior design I think it looks okay but I think it would be more interesting if it looked more modern, not too modern but slightly modern. The service was great the lady who made our coffee was able to make Mocha frappe despite it not being on the menu...

It's a really cute coffee shop. I'd never been here before but it had great reviews and I really needed coffee for our road trip. The employees were nice, the atmosphere great. Even the burrito I got was good. Unfortunately, the coffee (two out of the three lattes) were really bad. Burnt and bitter, and unpalatable (even with the whip cream I got on mine). The third latte, the smallest one was great. Not sure what happened, but super disappointed to have waited all morning for coffee I can't drink.

Edit to add that I appreciate the owner's reply. I think what happened was that the same espresso was used for both shots in the large lattes making them taste burnt and bitter, while only one shot was needed...

Quaint spot with 7 tables, definitely appropriate for quiet conversation or relaxing. Atmosphere was good but overall would have enjoyed music or some type of ambiance. Can't say anything bad about Enlightenment... the barista was very friendly and everything was consistently cleaned. Not a huge selection of breakfast/lunch items but it's a coffee shop. We needed low/no sugar items but I will say the breakfast burrito was surprisingly delicious and filling. Certainly not McDonald's grade ingredients. Bathroom (shared) was clean and stocked. There's no baby changing table but it is handicapped accessible. Ramps are not close to the door but there are...
