Gold Star — Restaurant in Kentucky

I wish I could rate this place a 0. I have been getting Gold stars gorritos ever since they came out, always asked for heavy chili to substitute for ranch and always paid the same. While me and my coworker were getting rang out, i noticed that the receipt was more than usual, so i asked the lady who was ringing us out to see what i am paying for, she chuckled and told me i had to pay before i see anything. After i paid i had seen a charge for an extra side of Chili. I then tell her that i was never told of an extra charge when i ordered, and that I have never got a charge from another Gold Star for it. She then laughed and told me their store doesn't have to and doesn't in general tell customers of extra charges. I asked for a refund and she then again laughed in my face. There was people behind me so i just left so they wouldn't have to wait anymore, While Leaving she smirked off a "Have a good day" in a very sarcastic manner. The 1.29 wasn't the issue, i was laughed at multiple times, treated as if i was crazy for wanting to know what i was paying for, and got no apology for not being notified or for being disrespected. I have never had problems with restaurants or fast food restaurants, but i feel as if i should notify the type of service customers will get coming in here, i was sleezed out of $1.29 and humiliated as well. I really enjoy the veggie chili at goldstar. Im so happy they offer a realistic version (so realistic the first time i ordered i thought they accidentally gave me meat chili) that is vegan friendly without cheese. It takes me right back to childhood. They also have amazing cooked to order french fries that are hands down my favorite from anywhere around. I normally go to Mt. Zion Gold Star and now I know why!!! I ordered two cookies and cream shakes which are almost 5 dollars a piece. The shakes had barely any cookies in it and it was completely milk. It resembled coffee creamer. We had a crying toddler or else we would have gone back to have them remake it. I called to speak to the manager about it and was treated rudely by them. If you are craving Gold Star, I highly recommend going one exit up to the better managed one and the one with the better quality food...
