El Taco Feliz 1 Richwood — Restaurant in Walton

The man taking my order over the phone was very nice, and the order was ready for pick up within 10 minutes. I have no frame of reference for the trending “birria”, as this was my first time having it, but I enjoyed the birria quesadilla! I also loved the chorizo tacos and my husband loved his barbacoa and carne asada tacos, as well! We were impressed with how FULL the tacos were with the chosen meats! The order also came with an orange colored sauce and a jalapeno sauce on the side, and those two sauces complemented the tacos very well! We would have rated 5/5 for the food based on just the main entrees, but we were unfortunately disappointed in the salsa (that came with the order), and the Mexican rice I ordered as a side. I will say, they were very generous with the portion size of the side rice. However, I sadly found the rice and salsa to be lacking in flavor. The salsa reminded me of just tomato sauce :( I’m a huge fan of the salsa and rice at Valle Escondido off US42, if that gives you an idea of what kind of flavor I like. This place is great, it makes El Toro look like a pebble in the dirt. The food is amazing, well priced, as well as the underground feel that it gives. Just be patient with the servers. They're learning English and only a prick would say anything rude about that. It's actually a cool experience being able to contribute to helping them learn English! 10/10 my girlfriend and I had an amazing experience. All I have to say is that if you're from Walton Kentucky. Just take the 4 minute drive to El Taco Feliz instead of el toro, because it's much more worth it in...
