Upon ordering my simple meal today a hamburger w/ no cheese and grilled onions and a Sprite with cherry from an associate with no name tag I received a Sprite with ants... I asked to speak with the manager and asked her for her assistance only to be told "I'm busy" with a tad of attitude I might add...but then she asked what do ya need so I go on to tell her the nature of my issue and the blame game starts - ok no biggie herd it before. So instead of taking the machine out of order or cleaning it which I didnt know where the ants originated from in the first place she gave me another Sprite, it wasnt until I asked where the ants came from and she knew right where the issue was, I asked if it was cleaned before handing me another one she said no... and what I also find disturbing is they continued serving drinks with the motto run some out first to make sure it's clear, I'm sorry but ants carry germs and leave them behind even when they are gone... moving forward i ordered a hamburger with grilled onions NO Cheese (can't have cheese) the associate asked me twice and two times I told him NO Cheese half way through the sandwich I notice cheese... my digestive system is currently paying for it... this isnt the first issue I'm having with this waffle house and the waffle houses in the northern Kentucky area. The only reason I keep going because I do enjoy the atmosphere and certain staff, it does concern me how I have to pay so close attention to weither or not an associate washes their hands before handling my food after I just watched them clean a mess off the floor or better yet clean that mess up off the floor and then finger my silverware because I've seen that happen a time or two, even just yesterday an associate was about to get my drink and had my cup in her hands while chewing food yelling across the room for something (cant imagine she didnt have some saliva wind up in my glass that was only 5" away from her mouth) I've also taken notice to associates running their fingers through there hair or coughing into their hands and then getting someone's silverware and touching where they would eat from and never washed hands or even somebody doing paperwork and exchanging money right where they would be buttering the toast and then buttering the toast and never wiped down the counter. In the last 2 weeks alone I've seen associates do so many more unsanitary things that would impose fines if the health department were to see it and that's pretty bad and what's worse is I've brought these concerns up to managers and nothing changes so I question there standards as well. The list of incidents I've started compiling in the last 2 weeks alone is definitely disturbing and frankly disgusting I only hope to see change before I make it public for all to enjoy... please note I'm not out to make waffle house look bad here I would just like to see cleanliness get put back into the standards of people's daily routines. I would also like to note what started this whole issue and the paying attention to the degree I am is when it starts with getting the drinks, there is an ice scooper for a reason. Using your hand on a glass and digging it into the box is not a good practice especially when you just got done handling money. And for the locations such as this one that does elect to make there associates use it as much as they can, it doesn't make any difference when it gets left...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I stopped here to get breakfast. Cheese Steak omelet for me no toast with hashbrowns. He ordered a sausage breakfast bowl add gravy. The waitress was super friendly but we were seated right next to the work station. It was complete chaos....people in the front standing for over 20 minutes waiting on food. No communication skills whatsoever. When I asked the waitress what came on the cheese steak omelet the cook/ manager was almost like duh meat and cheese plus whatever I want. Then before she made it she asked did I care if it was fluffy or not. That was the whole reason I ordered because I had been to another Waffle House and saw it prepared for someone else. What a beautiful sight to see when done correctly. What I got was a greasy mess with meat, cheese, tomato, and onion with toast after I specifically said no toast. I cannot eat the extra carb and hate to see food wasted. Needless to say we...
Read moreWe eat at many waffle houses because of kids LOVE it. 1st time at this location. Food was great. Service was wonderful. Waitress was super sweet. This is one of the cleaner locations, which is great! I gave 4 stars because in order to get into this place, you might as well expect to waste 20 minutes of your time. The "new" roads/construction take you all the way around every single building off the interstate, and then it circles you back around the other side of all the buildings. The turn in is directly in front of the truck stop and every semi driver is apparently blind because they block the entrance/exit to the restaurant. We waited and waited and waited, after circling the building 3 times. Finally, we had to lay in our horn to get them to let us in. Then we had to squeeze through 2 trucks and try to make a blind turn onto the road we needed to be on. We have 3 toddlers in the car. This is NOT ideal,...
