My wife and I just ordered the new French Dipper ciabatta and a salad to split for dinner. When we picked up the order, we noticed the au jus was in no way full enough to dip our sandwich.
Because this is a sandwich you’re supposed to dip we asked if we could get a little extra au jus, thinking this just wasn’t filled much by mistake.
We were wrong, apparently.
When we asked, the drive through attendant gave a flat “no” so we just said “we’re happy to pay for a bit extra”. They reiterated that the answer was no. “We don’t have a way to charge for this.” they said after being asked.
So we say “okay, that’s understandable. Can we just pay for a cup of soup to cover the cost?”
The attendant then called their manager over to explain the financial implications of au jus portioning. This manager said “we’re only allowed to give you one ladle full.” We reiterated that we’re willing to pay for it, and the manager then said “Well it’s not worth it to pay $7 for soup just for a ladle.” We know it’s not worth it, my guy.
We agreed, but also didn’t want to eat a dry French dip, since the au jus is kind of a critical element of the sandwich.
At this point, my wife was (understandably) frustrated beyond belief that a sandwich that is intended to be dipped in sauce can not , in fact, be sold with enough sauce to dip it in.
So we left, and we’re now rationing dips of this absolutely mediocre au jus (surprise there wasn’t enough!) like it’s some divine gift from the gods, after paying $21.07 and assuming the French dip would come with both the sandwich and the dip portion of the French dip.
Edit: I forgot to mention that the French Dipper Ciabatta was also not flavorful, mostly bread, and fairly dry. If only there had been a dip or...
Read morei work at the Davids Bridal across the street from this particular Panera in the center pointe mall plaza and order from this Panera often. While my coworkers have had a few problems with this Panera forgetting some items of their orders, I never had until today. I ordered my usual: a salad, Mac and cheese, a Pepsi and a chocolate chip muffie, except when I recieved it, I was missing my chocolate chip muffie and my soda. While working, I don’t have the time to call and talk to a manager, so I simply replaced my order. The same delivery driver, Cody, arrived and once he realized what happened he apologized, and told me that I should call and talk to a manager, but I told him it was fine and I wasn’t really bothered with it, I really just wanted the soda. While placing that second order for what I was missing, I ordered two muffies to get to the five dollar limit for delivery, but Cody told me they ran out and he gave me a chocolate chip cookie and a chocolate pastry in its place. (Now I want to mention that I used to work at Knapp’s corner Panera in high school and I was pleased that he realized that they messed up and wanted to replace it somehow). But what I really want to emphasize about Cody is that he came back about 20 min later with two vouchers for free you-pick-2s after speaking with his manager about what happened, which he did NOT need to do at all. I wasn’t mad or upset at all, but I really appreciated that he went out of his way to drive back to Davids for a third time to do...
Read moreIf I could give this specific location a 0 star review I would, but I'll give 1 I guess. I have had multiple bad experiences at this Panera but today was unacceptable. The associates and management always seem stressed or annoyed. Always poor customer service, but even worse food! Almost always cold, or wrong. If you want to customize at all, like no sauce or no onions on a sandwich, it's never done at all. Completely ignored every single time. And for the cashiers, way too rude for the job position, you take an order and cash someone out; it's not difficult at all... most do it with a smile but not here. I'm done ever coming to this location again. The manager Tim and other female manager were rude for me asking for a refund when they got my order wrong once and said my total would be $24 and then it was $14 then I was charged 16.20 on my card... SHADY! Do not spend your money here! I asked for a simple cup of soup ($5) And a half sandwich ($7-8) so 16.20 is not adding up.... When I was not taking no for an answer, they hung up, refused to answer again, and when I called on my fiancé's phone they said they would call the police if I were to call again! Arrested for wanting my money back for disgusting food and TERRIBLE SERVICE! Crazy. Will never be back! And HR has...
